We recently got to stay at this facility and we were most impressed with the professionalism displayed by all their staff. They were courteous, ever willing to help and most pleasant. They made our stay very comfortable and went out of their way to know what we may like to eat. All in all- it felt like a home away from a home in a new country.

I actually won this little weekend and decided to bring a friend. We decided to make it our own New Years celebration, and we could not have chosen a better location for that. The room was pretty small but had everything needed, plus a cozy little extra room with windows facing the water. Unfortunately I couldn't get away from work as early as I wanted so we had champagne at arrival and then went straight to dinner. Food (seafood plateau as main) was amazing. Staff is very friendly and service minded. Only downside to this stay is that we didn't have time to visit the sauna. To actually have the time to enjoy the views, the reading room and the surroundings I'd highly recommend staying 2 nights. We really didn't wanna go home.

Thank you for those lovely words!
We're so glad to hear you've had such a good time staying with us, sounds like you really enjoyed it. Too bad you did not have the time to fully enjoy all of our new facilities such as the seaview spa with fireplace and jacuzzi and our sauna located on the edge of the pier. We hope to welcome you here as guests again in the future!

Very nice location, rooms maybe bit basic & small and cold, but I got extra heater luckily. Food delicious and very friendly service. Not too far from Arlanda airport but still feels like you are far away from cities. Free candy in a cabinet yummy!

Thank you for your review! So nice to hear you enjoyed staying with us - our chef is delighted to hear you really liked the food. We agree that some of our rooms might seem a bit basic but within a few weeks from now we’re finish renovating an additional 11 rooms and 22 bathrooms. We’d love to welcome you back anytime soon to try them out.

We booked thinking of this as a nice getaway from Uppsala, just to spend one night and the better part of two days, right in the outset of the winter season. If you go (as we did) without your own car, it is difficult to get even to Balsta (nearest town, 9 km. away), without calling a taxi. The common rooms (in the mansion) are beautifully set out, cozy, warm and comfortable. There is a permanent service of coffee and tea (with cookies) complimentary (they don`t have a bar or cafe in the property). Most rooms are out of the mansion, in several buildings spread around it. The landscape, with a lake, trees and other vegetation is nice to see and also to walk about. When my husband and I visited they offered a package with dinner and breakfast, and a complimentary glass of champagne any time after arrival, and also another glass of champagne before dinner. We also had lunch.
The room was at first disappointing, both room and bathroom were tiny (only shower) and not particularly beautiful. But our room had a small sitting place with big windows and a beautiful view of the lawn and the lake. Also complimentary there were two small bottles of red wine. It was very nice to drink it in the warm room watching the outside snow over the lake. Both for lunch and dinner the menu was set in advance and there were no choices. When we made the reservation they requested information about allergies, etc. But the food was excellent and the service very nice. So, all in all, we had a very good time, enjoyed our visit fully and realized that, all included, this was a very good deal. They can accommodate groups and do weddings and other events.

Room Tip: There seems to be a great deal of variety and big differences in quality (size, decor, etc.) from one room to the other.

In the vicinity, like 35 min, from either Stockholm, Uppsala or Arlanda we found this gem. My wife and I came her to just take a weekend off the hectic city life. At Krägga Herrgård we had their splendid afternoon tea, 4-course fine dining experience, by the sea spa, wood-heated sauna and first class accommodation (try to get one of the suites if they are available, for a couple of 100 kr extra your stay will be unforgettable). Taking the stroll in the forests and meadows lit up by Cody lamps and free-range mystical, and peaceful muskox walking around is absolutely wonderful. We lacked only one thing: more time to spend here. Our experience in one word: magic! Thank you for great service, food and memories to take with us. We will be back...
