+ quiet, private beach. Big house. Friendly staff. Relaxing place.

- Need to be cleaned properly. Fix the ceiling where the water drops(it wasn't raining;). And air con is noisy. Small water ponds are behind the residence so full of nasty mosquitos. WiFi super slow.

This hotel no longer offers any appropriate conditions for holiday. The appartments are shabby and needs a lot of repair. Especially bathroom. During the day sometimes there is no water. Wi-fi works only at restaurant, which is actually not welcome and attractive at all! At Ocean Breeze you can never find the traditional Thai hospitality. So you have to walk around to find some nice place to spend the evening, usually at the nearby hotels or at the pier. More than that you should always use the repellents against mosquitoes. Unfortunately, it doesn't help from sand flies, which are so much at this hotel. (((( There are other hotels around, more popular and much more welcome!

Room tip: There are no appartments with sea view (((

Ko Kho Khao is a small island a 2 hour car drive north of Phuket, accessed via a 10 minute ferry (or longtail boat) ride. Ocean Breeze is also advertised as'New Detox Wellness Centre' Although the resort does not quite live up to its advertising as a Wellness Centre it is still a highly recommended hotel. The apartments are very spacious (2 beds and 2 bath), the management is very friendly and helpful. The apartment includes a kitchen (but without cooking utensils - but self-catering is not really needed as local restaurants serve decent enough food) the large fridge was welcomed.
It is one of the quietest beaches in Thailand, but it is not for those who like night-life after 8:30pm - there are very few restaurants and the closest local shops are 7km away. A large yoga-hall makes it ideal for groups.
The nearby forest provides welcoming bird and cicada songs and not so welcomed mosquitoes!
