We stayed for 4 nights and loved it. Built on the side of a steep hill, the views out over Porto Vecchio are stunning. The rooms are spacious and have a lot of character, are clean and well decorated. Each is unique and secluded, so you really have your own space. The staff are very friendly and made us feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. I can't recommend this place enough, we had a great stay and would certainly go back.

Five days were spent in a room called Genévrier. It had a sitting room, separate bathroom and bedroom. The staff were friendly and helpful and the bed very comfortable. There was a pretty little courtyard/garden with parasol and outdoor furniture. All rooms had windows. It could have been called a suite had there been a sofa instead of a double bed in the sitting room. We had a car and drove to the old town and the port. We also visited a vineyard for a degustation. (check opening times. We missed out). There was a lovely chambre d'hôte in Paravesa where they made their own essential oils. Most businesses close between 12-15 hours. A car is a must. Be prepared for stairs.

How disappointing!!!! We booked the Private Hotel through Booking.com as they state you do not have to pay for the hotel in advance. We booked the hotel because of the reviews etc, we planned to travel over the Bank Holiday weekend for three nights. After then searching for a flight it became clear the island only have flights from and to the UK on Sundays. We immediately cancelled the Hotel.
Just checked our bank statement and the Private Hotel has charged the full amount to my card. After checking Booking.com's cancellation email it advised to call the hotel direct. The Gentleman spoke pigeon English, but told us very rudely to call Booking.com and put the phone down.
Straight after the call Booking.com was contacted the lady was very helpful and advised she would call the hotel. The gentleman said he did not speak English! The office in France then contacted the Hotel, they were advised we wouldn't get a refund or be able to carry the money forward to a future booking. We asked to re-instate the booking and we would drive to the hotel, the answer was we would have to book and pay once again.

we traveled in Porto vecchio on july for a 5 days period, aimed for Private Hotel; the room was what we expected, bad WI-Fi,no sea view but as we did rent an convertible VW, we could easily access the beaches( Palombaggia-4*; San Ciprianu-5*; Santa Giulia - 4*), as recommended by the owner of the hotel; perfect attitude for the owner, who took good care of all clients:)
A good place to eat, nearby, was restaurant TERRAMEA
For sure, Corsica remains an holiday gem, as we did visit only the southern part( up to Ajaccio- plage D'Argent) we plan to return....
A little up on cost for transats( 40 Euro / 2 beachchairs and umbrella)/day, but so beautiful beaches and water, we enjoyed tremendously
