Entrance on narrow street up hill (bus can't access), number of steps. Rooms quite small but quiet. TV excellent, no radio or clock. No coffee maker nor refrig in room but breakfast is great. If they have French toast, don't miss trying. Small, single elevator goes to 2nd floor (2 rooms on 3rd floor so be careful with assignment if traveling with a lot of bags). Some rooms in separate building. Our room was missing a curtain panel and we only discovered following day that room had a wall mounted remote that raised/lowered metal shades. Don't forget simple 220 adapters for charging (most phones, appliances today will charge on both 110/220 so no converter needed). Outlets a bit sparse. Staff sweet and helpful. Has good area with bar for small groups to meet before going out for dinner.

We stayed at this hotel around four years ago, and wrote a very good review about it. At the time the reception staff was first class, as was everything else for a three star hotel. This time we popped into to see if they had a room for one night. They did but not the room we had stayed in previously, so we asked to see it. They refused to show it to us, not hotel policy we were told as we had to book in, provide our credit card details, and check in to do so. I guess they would have taken the money as well. The young lady, said she could not leave the front desk - but we had seen her leave before we arrived to take guests to a block opposite just before we entered, and she was away from the front desk for a while but we waited as one would. The most we got our of her was it was a room on the top floor, no lift on the last flight of stairs, so I assume the attic. It seems it was I guess to shabby for her to allow us to look before paying, as she guessed we would more than likely refuse to stay. I would therefor recommend you insure that you are happy before parting with your money.

My husband and I stayed at le Renoir for 2 nights as part of our cycling tour of the Dordogne. The staff at reception were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We were shown where to leave our cycles and taken by lift to our comfortable room. The shutters make the room so dark that one morning we slept in!! Air conditioning was efficient. Our only complaint was that the shower head was falling off the wall.
The pool area was very sheltered. Unfortunately we did not have much sun to relax in . It was an short walk into the old town where there were many restaurants. Our breakfast was excellent.

The hotel was adequate for a 2 night stay. The room for 3 was a good size with comfortable beds and air conditioning. Nice swimming pool with complimentary towels. The buffet breakfast was very good and the staff very helpful and accommodating.

The location of the hotel is excellent - only a 5 min walk from the town centre. There's also plenty of free car parking near to the hotel as well as a free carpark within a few mins walk from the hotel. The streets around the hotel were safe to leave the car. The hotel has very good receptionists with a very quick check in process and we're very helpful throughout our stay. There's is a bar and restaurant but we did not use these facilities. There was a 12m pool which we used every day - it's not used by guests during the morning if you want to do some lengths but can get busy late afternoons.

Our family room (double bed and double twin) was perfect for our stay although there was not enough storage (drawers/wardrobes). It was clean with daily room cleaning, new bed linen and towels. There was a flat screen tv, shower, bath and a secure safe.

Overall the hotel is very good and has everything you and your family will need for a 1 to 2 week stay. Recommended.
