Though I fully understand the limitations resulting from the Covid19 crisis (such as the closure of the spa or the breakfast served in bedroom...), I have difficulty to understand why, for breakfast, it is not possible to have an omelette or fried eggs, but only scrambled eggs (which by the way were not good)
No towels were provided in the bathroom when we arrived, probably forgotten!

Good quiet hotel with nice grounds and five minute walk to town. Staff at reception and bar are very friendly but watch out, bar closes early on Sunday nights. The rooms are large with nice bathrooms. One bad point is that their towels are small and pretty thin. Not their fault but there are some unsavoury characters with dogs around the town which is a shame as it is one of the nicest towns we have visited. We had our dog with us so it is not that we are against dogs - it is just the unfriendly ones we do not like!!! However, we would return there if we found ourselves in that area again because of the nice hotel and free parking which in most Mercure Hotels these days you have to pay.

Was here on a business trip a couple of weeks ago. I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and comfortable.
The breakfast was OK. The selection of fruit could have been much better.
The location is really good. You're within walking distance of plenty nice restaurants and if the fitness centre in the hotel isn't enough for you, theres a gym a 10 minute walk away. I was disappointed by the opening hours of the fitness centre. It doesn't open until 8AM so I didn't get a chance to try it out.
I would definitely stay here again though, was very nice.

We liked the Mercure Hotel in Niort very much. It was very close to everything in the centre of the city.
We could walk the short distance into a very vibrant city centre. The Hotel Staff very helpful & kind.

We have used this hotel as an overnight stopover on several occasions and its central location with parking and within easy walking distance to Niort centre with its restaurants and shops makes this hotel a convenient and reliable choice for a comfortable night. There is a restaurant onsite where we have always received a good breakfast and the rooms are always very clean and well presented with fabulous cozy and comfortable beds. They also offer connecting double and twin rooms which make this hotel a very attractive option for families. Polite staff too.
