We paid a ton of money to stay at this supposedly vegan hotel. Turns out, kitchen isn't even open 9 months of the year. So we couldn't eat lunch or dinner as planned. They offer a buffet breakfast. The front desk said there were plenty of options for me. Next morning, the woman working didn't even know what vegan meant. She said I could have the pancakes. I asked if there were eggs. "Just one" was her answer. She then offered me fromage blanc (dairy cheese). They advertise as green cuisine, but the buffet had pork and cheese.
Maybe the yoga retreats are vegan, but not as a hotel. Their website says nothing about the limited kitchen and posts tons of delicious looking vegan food. So disappointed.

Dear Madam,
We are sorry to read your disappointment further to your stay at La Vigne de Ramatuelle and the confusion about the "cuisine".
Never we announced to be a "vegan" hotel and we are not labelled as such, but our cuisine is ethic, local and mostly green. We are a place which moves forward in coherence with the nature, our environment and our local resources.
The Kitchen is opened for the dinner only a Friday and Saturday evening in the form of a "table d'hôte". Unfortunately your stay was during the week and you didn't discover our cuisine.
As for the breakfast, it is opened to all and not only to veggies or Vegans. That is why we offer cheeses & eggs etc....
We would have better had to make the information of your particular diet circulate and we are sorry about it.
We hope to have the "second" chance of welcoming you at La Vigne and we assure you that you will taste our particular and tasty green food, I will personally take care of that.
Kind regards

Alexandra - La Vigne de Ramatuelle

I spent three nights last week at La Vigne de Ramatuelle.
It is quite breathtaking. The views of the land from the vineyard are very relaxing.
The hotel is quite peaceful and a great place to truly ease the mind. I took mediation classes, drank rose, and was a short taxi away from the village of St. Tropez if I needed to disturb this blissful experience.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to the region, it is perfectly located and it feels like you are at home as soon as you arrive.

Room Tip: I would recommend the rooms that have the view of the vineyard. The balconies are quite nice to relax on.

First time I went to La vigne was 22 years ago; the place was magic.
This second visit was a total disillusion.
I am talking about a 420 euro for a double room. Normally one would expect something for the price which is on the higs side even for St Tropez.
The room was small. The bathroom, despite the Villeroy Boch fittings, very small, with the shower built on top of the bath tub. Its one of those situations in which you risk slipping on the curved surface of the tub to break your leg...
The queen bed matteress was made of two single matteresses, so you could feel the chasm between them.
The pool is japonese miniature size (i would not call it a pool but a pond). The morning breakfast (18 euro on top of the 420..) was minimalistic to say the least, with the Nutella jars adding a touch of populism; the pains au chocolat where cold. All was prsented by a sleepy waiter who is probably also the gardner and bell man...Hey I mean, this is supposed to be a hotel of charme.
Quite sadly there was very little charm left. What a pity!

Room Tip: rooms on the ground level are better

if we had paid 200€ instead of 320 per night i would have been more enthusiastic. for sure st. tropez is expensive, but compared to relais chateaux hotels we had been to this is way too much. the hotel is nicely located on the country side not too far away from st. tropez nor the beach, don't trust your gps to get there (they should better indicate gps coordinates). the hotel is nice and clean, although they could have taken care of what the dog of one of the guests left in front of our room....not sure if this sounds like a strong recommendation....
