The hotel is located in a small town called Ramatuelle, just a few minutes from the famous St Tropez. The room that we stayed in was small but lovely. It was pleasantly decorated in yellow pastel shades and had everything you needed. Small living room with bathroom, shower and bathtub, large king size bed, some chairs and even a balcony.
Once you are in St Tropez there are numerous fun activities for you to enjoy. If you wish to spend your day at the hotel, you can enjoy a spa treatment, lay by the pool or read a book in the beautiful garden of Villa Marie. Of course, you can sip a cocktail or two at the bar and prepare yourself for a night out. There is a shuttle service provided by the hotel to take you to Saint Tropez from 8 am to 11 pm. St Tropez is a lovely village with luxury yachts, amazing restaurants and some of the best designer boutiques in the world. Be sure to stop by the famous hotspot Café Sénéquier recognized by its signature red and white tent, overlooking the million dollar yachts.
We spotted Karl Lagerfeld while he enjoyed his dinner with friends.
Don't forget to visit the famous Pampelonne beach with numerous clubs overlooking the ocean. We stopped at Nikki Beach for a drink while enjoying the sunset.

A huge and sad disappointment when I had talked this hotel and restaurant up to my guest. $34 for a hamburger. Wines started at $60 including well known good value
local rosé. Cheap cafe tables (don’t expect a table cloth or linen mat) - damp salt and powdered pepper (no pepper mill). Tropical plants with huge dead leaves and giant wonky lampshades demonstrated how uncared for this restaurant is now. The shell detailing in the toilet area is something else - retro 60’s Worthing guest house springs to mind. What an insult especially when this used to be the most delightful and pretty hotel and a very pleasant dining experience. Clearly times have changed. We went for Sunday lunch on a rainy day so eating at the beach was out of the question and this should have been a perfect and buzzing alternative....it was empty ...speaks volumes ....was I the last to know?

I have mixed views on this hotel:
Positives: Great location just outside main town so you have the feeling of peace and sanctuary but close enough to quickly get to the action. Beautiful grounds and overall ambiance of an exclusive and elegant hideaway. Great service - concierge was very responsive leading up to our stay and all staff were lovely and helpful during our stay.
Negatives: The major negative for me has to be the room itself that we had (on the ground floor with view of wooded area). For what you are paying, the rooms do not match expectations. They are small and I think quite badly designed (size could be overlooked if layout was better). You enter the room door DIRECTLY into the bathroom! There is no separation between bedroom and bathroom apart from a light curtain. The shower is so tiny you can barely lift your aims and the toilet is a separate tiny room. It makes for uncomfortable sharing quarters and lack of privacy. The room standard is frankly that of a 3 start hotel.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the positives. The free shuttle into town was very welcome as well.

Everything about this place was pure perfection. The grounds are breath taking, the staff could not me more organically pleasant, the food divine!! We would definitely come back, rave, suggest and remember with great joy about our stay. Lovely perk: breakfast stretches to 11am!

We have been staying at Villa Marie for 12 years now. I loved it then, I love it now!!! Every time we are leaving, after our yearly 7 days stay, I am sad.

This place is perfect. It is very stylish, yet super cosy, chic, yet laid back, away from the hustle and bustle of St Tropez and the beaches, yet just one short free shuttle drive away.

Rooms are beautiful, very Provancal in style, the pool is calm and pretty, old pine trees give special grace to the place. You can stay here the whole day and just enjoy the amazing food, the pool, spa, the views, or you can spend a day at one of the beaches, (my favourite would be Club 55 or Bagatelle), or strolling the streets of St Tropez.
The service is very friendly and attentive, breakfast is amazing, served in a beautiful courtyard.
I just left a few weeks ago, and can not wait to go back!
