“Amazing apartment in a lovely town, easy links to best ski area in Alps!!!!”
Reviewed January 15, 2017 for a stay in December 2016

The apartment and its facilities are amazing!!!! We have stayed twice now. Both times Sally, and her manager locally Becky are amazing!!! Information on everything to make sure your stay is as easy and care free as possible !! Our lift passes are there waiting for us at the apartment so the only thing you have to do is get up and go to the lift!! The apartment itself is spacious and far larger and far more comfortable than any previous apartments we have stayed in. With English tv , dvd and wifi you have everything you need if your not a going out kind of family (we are pretty dull on the evening!!) Kitchen is very well equipped so if you want to cook as we do, it's a pleasure and you don't have to make do, it's the little touches that help such as the provision of bin bags, toilet rolls, cleaning goods and lovely toiletries for you to use, tea and coffee etc so you don't have to run out and instantly do a shop!! There's a spa in BLB and a larger supermarket on the road out which is great for fresh Produce and meats etc. All in all this apartment is perfect as a base to explore the mountains and amazing surrounding areas, you'll definitely feel at home and relaxed too, our kids are now ' big' at 19 and 16 but this apartment has more than enough space for everyone!! Also as a note the apartment is really nice and quiet unlike most ski apartments we have rented with people walking round in ski boots etc or partying on the balconys, you actually get to relax!!! Can't wait to go back!!!!

“Gorgeous well equipped apartment , doesn't get any better! ”
Reviewed March 26, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

As soon as we arrived at the apartment we where wowed!! Having stayed in various areas of the Alps in numerous apartments, this one at first glance was by far the most spacious, doors seemed to lead to more doors and more space!! After the initial inspection ( and finding out already sorted lift passes, thanks Becky) we realised just how well equipped, clean and homelike the apartment was, it has everything you could possibly need on a holiday! Kitchen was fab and well equipped and the addition of the counter top oven is a brilliant one. There where loads of free little touches such as hand soap, bin liners , tea and coffee, usually have to go straight to get all these little things, which was so helpful!! Everything was thought of even down to plug adopters , which we had bought but only because no one over supplied them in their apartments! English and French Tv as well as a DVD player etc. From booking to sorting out any queries Sally the owner is incredibly quick to answer and there propert manager Becky also, who is local to the apartment. She can help sort lift passes etc for your stay saving your time for the important stuff!! The apartment is about 5-10 mins to walk to the Olympic lift that goes directly into Meribel, which opens into the three valleys ski area, which is massive!! Never hardly did the same run twice and we were out all day for 6 days!! it takes about 20 mins on the lift but what a pretty journey, it's actully quite relaxing! Brides Les Bains itself is such a nice village, friendly and relaxed and the apartment is a 5 min walk from it all. There is a small spa in the town but we found it best to go to the Super U supermarket which is a 5 minute drive back towards moutiers, we like to cook and this had an great fresh ingredients etc. There is also an amazing bakery and deli style shop in the town stocking lovely local honey and cured meats. So in short ,basically we are booking again for next year!! And we've only been back a week!! I think that says it all!!!

“Great value for money, superb hospitality!”
Reviewed February 14, 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We are a well travelled young couple now with a baby, holidaying about 6 times a year, always renting from private landlords and have never felt more valued and looked after than here at Brides at Sally's wonderful place.

We booked early to get the best rate: in August for February. I was looking at many valleys and stations as we love skiing in France and have got several favourite villages. Yet I was having trouble to find the right apartment: this time we were bringing three generations of our family and had to make sure all will be happy. I was surprised to come across this rare quality equipped apartment in "the priciest" of all French resorts. And when we arrived it exceeded our expectations as everything is not just exactly as good as described but also well maintained and spotless clean, which was much needed for our 3 months old son.

Communication, advice, etc prior to arrival was excellent, we felt like coming home. The amount of the info provided by the host was huge, we didn't have to make any further research. And the baker does come to the reception every morning and sells you fresh bread and pastries. The heartiest biggest ones you have ever seen :)

Value for money is beyond belief. Brand new high quality washer, dishwasher, large oven, etc etc. toiletries. Cleaning products. You know, you normally arrive at a totally empty place and have to buy all from "fairy" to salt/pepper. And when you go, you either leave lots of stuff or throw things away thinking. If I'm leaving that, why nothing was left from the previous people? Or the host could have made an effort to provide the basics. And it always leaves this type of feeling. So I was very surprised to see how many things were provided for us. These little things made us feel home and valued.

Location: 5 min walk to the gondola (7 with kids). The host's discount at the rental shop will be your Large Bonus!

Air and water: the best you find in the Alps. It's actually a spa town! I recon it's even busier there during summer than winter.

View from the window: breathtaking. I was spending lots of times simply staring at that big mountain while feeding the baby.

Free spa: yes, a nice pool and jacuzzi.

Ski: oh my god! We did all meribel area and bits of courchevel and bits of val thorens while staying for two weeks and being lucky with the weather. But gosh! You can keep coming back for years and it will never be boring.

What else to wish for? My family can't wait to come back next year. They don't want to know about exploring other places now :)

“French lady's”
Reviewed July 20, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We had a very pleasant stay at this appartement, we found everything we needed and more.. Sally stayed in touch with us, giving us information on the local area. Overall, a very clean and complete place.
We recommend to have a dinner at the "refuge du Bois" in Champagny le Haut .. You need to book before to make sure to have a table.
Don't forget to give some water to the birds on the balcony, it's a very hot summer! You can even add some bread, they'll love it!

“Consistently good every time”
Reviewed April 11, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Have stayed a number of times at this apartment as quite simply we know that it will be a home from home every time. Clean. tidy and everything you need is catered for. BLB is a very convenient location, with an easy drive to other parts of 3 Valleys if you don't wish to ski across from Meribel. Underground parking is a great asset and not a regular feature with other rentals. Sally is always extremely helpful and making your stay an enjoyable one is her high priority.
