This is hidden around the back of the monster block of apartments at the centre of Le Lac, just behind the ESF offices. If you are at the bottom of the Palafour lift you are within a minutes walk.

We dropped in for a quick hot chocolate one morning while the kids were off doing lessons and genuinely felt at home immediately. The presence of local piste safety guys was a reassuring sign. The space itself is pretty small, with room for maybe 15 people seated and more standing but don't let that put you off.

We came back for a drink another night and again really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere so we decided to book in there for dinner the next night. From what we can tell, they more or less take one table at 1900, one at 1930, one at 2000, etc . . . as kitchen space is that limited so do make sure to reserve if you want to eat in the evening. During the rest of the morning/afternoon it's a regular walk in bar/cafe so no booking is required.

The food was nice, comforting pasta dishes mainly. We did get one non-pasta dish but I've forgotten what it was. Whatever it was, there were no complaints and clean plates all round. For desert we had some pretty yummy gelato. The music was great, not too loud, not too quiet. Just right.

Definitely worth a visit if you are around Le Lac.

I just love this place. Super nice Italian food. But above all an atmosphere which is just great for a beer, music, a nice chat and a big laugh!

Warm reception, great coffee & tasty food!
The staff are friendly and welcoming. The coffee is the best we have had in Tignes. The breakfast/lunch snacks are freshly prepared and very tasty. The bar is small but has a welcoming and cozy feel.

Jam Bar is a super little bar with about 14 seats and not much standing room. They do have some tables outside.
The service is wonderfully friendly and it’s a really ‘sympa’ little place. The menu is very limited because the cooking area is just a hot plate and small grill at one end of the bar. But what they do is very tasty and well cooked. We’ve had both the pasta and the bruschetta. The bruschetta is not the tiny slices of bread you get as a starter, but a slice as big as a dinner plate, so it’s more like pizza made from toast.
Also for anyone who’s skied in Italy, they do great bombardinos!

Three of us went for dinner a couple of weeks ago. You need to book as there are only 3 tables. However everything is home made (in front of you so no kidding!) and Rocco and Delphine make a really good atmosphere. We all had ravioli with brocolli and great sauce followed by the best ice cream I've ever tasted. None of us could think of any faults. Top Notch!
