These CGH apartments are good quality typical of the 4 star offer that the company has. Its is well situated. A little slope at the back allows you to get on to the snow only a few metres from the boot room - even at the end of the season. The supermarket is just a few metres away as is Deep Snow Ski Set shop for ski hire. Its a short walk to a number of good restaurants. We only saw the one room we stayed in, but my impression is that you would be much happier in rooms B17 - B-37 which are in the main block on floors 3 to 6. The lower floors B04 to B14 will have less light and less good views and the A block above the garage seems much less pleasant. Service was friendly although we were not super impressed that our apartment was not ready when we arrived at 3.00 pm.

Room Tip: Go for B17 to B36

We stayed here at the end of March. We really liked the location. It is ski in-ski out. You do not have to walk to the lifts. We stayed at the nice side of the residence, looking towards the slopes.

I agree the part that is called "Chalet Bisolet" is the better one. We had a six persons apartment for the two of us. If you are with two adults and two children an apartment for 6 is a good choice, otherwise choose a bigger one. In the afternoon we had the sun till approximately 6.15 pm. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and enjoy the sun after skiiing. In the morning the sun is on the other side (facing the village).

In the 6 persons apartment there is only one sofa. For two this is allright, but if you are with more persons they have to sit in the chairs of the table (not comfortable). From other guest we heard that the apartments for 4 people (one bedroom and one living area) are very dark and small, so avoid them.

The apartment (fourth floor) we had was nice located and well equiped.

The staff was very, very polite and more than willing to help with everything. Nice is the breadservice. It is a very short walk to another residence where you can use the lovely poolarea for free.

If we would go to Espace Killy again we would definetely stay here again.

I have stayed at these apartments before and they are well fitted out as you would expect from 4 star accommodation and the situation is very convenient. However, for our last visit in March 2012, we were allocated an apartment (A02) which was effectively semi basement accommodation with a very high wall right in front of both the lounge and bedroom windows.
There are 2 adjoining blocks of apartments and there is no doubt that the chalet du Bisolet situation is much better than the chalet d'Adret so if you are booking, avoid A02 at all costs and request an apartment in chalet du Bisolet facing the front (road) and which looks out across the slopes. (The photo attached shows the balcony of the apartment above. The lounge of our apartment was underneath this balcony)

we arrived early on saturday (check in at 17 hrs, we were allowed to check in at 13 hrs), reception was very professional and friendly.
WiFi is for one user at a time only, so if you are a digital family, be sure and buy an extra login (30 euro per week).
The appartment was small, yes, two bedrooms, but by my standards very small. (it really is a matter of your reference point) The cleaning we had ordered through our agency was not transmitted to the resort, and so it did not happen.
The appartment is right on the piste, and very noisy, when the piste machines were not beeping, there was a lot of noise from the appartment above us, so if you are sensitive to noise, bring ear plugs.
The beds are moderate for comfort, and very creaky :)
The ski lockers are on the first floor and fine, but not heated, there is a washer and dryer which is coin operated. It is about a five minute walk to the ski lift.
We would not stay here again.

Compared to the french winter-sports apartments, this is one of the best. The spacious apartments are well equipped with a flat screen TV with HDMI input, a combi-oven.

The staff was friendly and willing to help.
There is a bread-ordering service with fair prices, you can pick up the bread at the reception at 7:30 to be on the piste at 8:30.

Easy pack entrance, to ski "into" the building.
A small supermarkt is next door, for the main "center" with restaurants and bars, you need to take one of the to elevators in the village.

We went by bus with Bizztravel.nl and the last day we were able to store our luggage to ski the last day.

The free excess to the two pools/spa's in the other apartment blocks is nice, but need a walk of 5-10 minutes.

We've just returned from a fantastic week skiing in Tignes. We stayed at the Ferme du Val Claret on the recommendation of the various reviewers here and we weren't disappointed.
From what I saw of Tignes, Val Claret is the better 'village' to stay in and the Ferme du Val Claret is a great location, close to many of the pistes, restaurants and bars. It is still possible to ski in and out of the resort.
There were four of us and booked a two bedroom 'duplex'. On arrival we were upgraded to a three bedroom appartment which meant we could use one as a dressing room/storage. The appartments are comfortable, tastefully decorated and well kitted out.
Couple of complaints, -
- the living area was small with a three seater sofa so I couldn't work out how the 6 people that the appartment was intended for could be comfortable.
- it was possible to borrow a DVD player from the reception but they have no discs to lend you and nowhere in town to buy or rent them, so bring some with you.
- they provide a basic cleaning kit and very small rubbish bags and no replacements so bring a couple of decent bin bags with you.
Very stange.............we had a 7pm return flight so intended on skiing the last day. I asked if there was any possibility to extend the check out, (worth a try) but were told no and had to be out of the room by 10am. I asked the receptionist if there was somewhere we could change out of our skiing gear and freshen up and she said no we wouldhave to go to the local tourist office. I thought this was a bit strange so asked whether they had a public toilet we could use, she said no.......very wierd but I left it at that.
On the last day we left our luggage in the storage room (door unlocked), went skiing and returned to a different receptionist on the desk. I asked the same question, where can I change and was told most people change in the luggage room. It wasn't until after changing did I discover that they did have a lavatory that one could change in...............whether they didn't want people to change in the loos I don't know...very strange and left a bitter taste in my mouth after a decent stay.
Having said that I would return and would recommend.
