We visited in November, which meant that the place was all but empty. Wonderful, we had it all to ourselves! My husband and I took long strolls on the beautiful grounds. In the evening, we walked to a little cafe and grocery in town, so that we could make coffee and have breakfast in our apartment on our own. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I couldn't have imagined a better stay.

We'll be back! Staff are friendly and helpful. Although the apartment is small'ish it has what you need, the gardens and pool areas are absolutely stunning and everything is so beautifully kept. Add to that the fantastic views you just feel that sense of tranquility and calmness in this place that you want from a holiday to relax and unwind. We took HB. Perhaps breakfast could be improved slightly but it's fine and the evening menu meal allowed us to sample tasty dishes (it is not buffet except on Thursdays with their themed 'Dining under the stars' night). Slight 'downside' to the location is of course the travel time to get to and from the motorway on daytrips out (don't take the 'shortcut' suggested on satnav - go via Vaggio and Regello) but everything is forgiven when coming back in the evening to the gorgeous sunset over the mountains as you enjoy dining on your own terrace/balcony or at the restaurant. Stunning!

Room Tip: For tranquility request away from the restaurant area and not overlooking a pool.

This 500 year old converted monastery has upscaled into a "resort" agritourismo (working farm stay). The olive groves are gorgeous, the oil, ok. The vineyards sprinkled nearby are a delight, and the white wine was delicious. The room was rustic but quaint, very small kitchenette & bathroom, and very hard bed. It did have a lovely balcony with views of the property. Two pools, Wi-fi best access in the reception area and nice dining al fresco. I would definitely go back if looking for a place in the area again!

Room Tip: Book in the "hotel" if you want modern, or the apartments if you want rustic charm.

My wife and I just spent our honeymoon here and this place was incredible! Horseback riding, two pools, restaurants, spectacular views, its own vineyard and olive grove, and it even has it's own amphitheater. They have the nicest staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. We spent a week here without a single negative impression. I cannot recommend this place high enough to do it justice! But use your GPS to fine this place amidst all those winding Italian rural roads!

This is a great place for a family retreat to be based outside of Florence with pools, horse riding, great views. Easy access to train system and highways to other hill towns of Tuscany. Good Breakfast option available and nice Resturant for dinner onsite- a little pricey for "good" food, though some dishes are excellent. Very attractive area with quaint little towns. Must have a car In this area
