Description: A beautiful and charming 15th Century pub, perfectly situated on the A1120 tourist road en-route to the famous Suffolk coast. We have a large beer garden to the side which overlooks the bowling green, and further seating to the front. With ample car parking space, it’s the ideal spot for a drink or a meal on your way to or from the coast. The newly refurbished kitchen serves fabulous home-cooked food, freshly made to order, using the best of Suffolk produce. You can choose from a variety of draft lagers, ales and ciders as well as a range of fine wines. On colder days you can enjoy them in the warmth of the pub surrounded by crackling open fires. Whether you are dining with us or just meeting for a drink, a warm welcome is always guaranteed!

Had a midweek evening meal. Ate in bar area and it was a lovely setting.
All four meals cooked well and presentation was good. Portions were huge!

Couldn't all manage a pudding but the one we ordered was excellent.

Great service and friendly.

Would definitely return.

Happened upon The White Horse, had to stop and see inside, because from the outside it looked picture perfect.
Within a millisecond of entering the bar, our minds were made up, that if a room was available, we would stay, and luckily for us there was. The bar is a quaint snug, with coal burning fire, exposed beams, comfy arm chairs, fresh daffodils on each table and sill, lovely touch, and plenty of pub games to choose from. Friendly, helpful staff, which definitely enhanced the visit. Good selection of real ales at very reasonable prices. We had an evening meal, I had the belly pork, with THE best crackling. the pork melted in my mouth, it came with bubble and squeak, It was absolutely delicious and the portions were generous. My husband had the lambs liver, which he thoroughly enjoyed, whilst trying to stop me from nicking pieces, I also loved it. By the way, the gravy unbelievably delicious.
The snug had a lovely atmosphere, with locals popping in.
We stayed in The Lavender room, big, tastefully decorated room, exposed beans, sloping floors, with huge en-suite bathroom. You could feel the history of the building. I must mention that, the whole place is immaculately clean. Breakfast was a real feast, we choose freshly prepared fruit with yoghurt, then a warmed chocolate croissant. Followed by the Half English, which was substantial and cooked to perfection. Tariff for room and the cost of the meal was extremely fairly priced. This place is amazing and we cant wait to return. The owners Mark and Lisa, made us so welcome and did themselves proud, with all their hard work, The White Horse is an absolute delight.

Recently returned to celebrate a birthday. This pub has everything we enjoy in a pub - cosy, friendly, relaxed with good service. Delicious food in generous proportions at a very reasonable cost - we will be back before too long!

Our Sunday afternoon trip had passed the 3 o’clock shut down of pub kitchens and we were having doubts of finding anywhere serving any form of hot food.Having driven passed the White Horse I made a swift u-turn and although we found the car park full ,the kitchen lounge adjacent to the main dining room was empty.Yes they were still serving food, yes we could eat in the lounge and we were made very welcome by the staff even though this was obviously their busy time on a Sunday with a full restaurant next door.Beer was good but the Sunday’s roasts ( beef and lamb ) surpassed all expectations .great portions and great taste.Food is served on super hot plates with individual dishes of veg and if I could have ordered a pint of the beef gravy I would have.Even though the price of the roasts are below average, the service, food and value experienced was a credit to the owner and staff.

First visit to The White Horse inn which won't be the last. With open fires and exposed oak beams serving quality food at a good price. Hospitality was amazing and made to feel as my local. The owner Mark top bloke and the waitresses very helpful, can't wait to visit again when in the area. Would definitely recommend and little did I know they had rooms you can stay. "wet dogs and muddy boots welcome" says it all
