“Like staying in a fairy tale”

We stayed here two years ago when we hiked the Cotswold Way and it was my favorite stop on the entire Way - in fact I cried when I had to hike off after only one night. So my husband determined to let me return and we did so this fall for a week with two dear friends. And it was as perfect as I remembered it.
First of all Snowshill village itself is just breathtakingly lovely and from just above the Byrne you have a view of the village. The hiking in any direction - to the woods above, over to Stanton, up to Broadway Tower, off to chipping Camden is a hiker/walker's dream - I had a fantastic hike every day of our trip. Our friends, who were not the fanatical hiker I am, loved the location just as much, because it is a great spot from which to see Stonehenge and Bath and Stratford if traveling by car.
Now for the cottage itself - it has beautiful views, it is quiet, and it is perfectly appointed. Comfortable beds, full kitchen, everything needed for a relaxing time. They have recently remodeled the downstairs to make this a self catering apartment and all the work they did was top notch - lovely flooring, counters, artwork! We all felt "at home" - the place is warm and cozy and had everything we could have asked for. Even has a BBQ and patio table. And Our host and hostess were so kind and attentive, ready with hiking and road maps, books on the area, suggestions for restaurants, and touring tips.
We are currently visiting London and the four of talk wistfully of our PERFECT spot in the Cotswolds. It really is perfect! We would highly recommend Sheepscombe Byre!

“A wonderful home away from home.”
Reviewed October 14, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

The views are stunning, what more do you need but comfortable beds and a log fire. This lovely cottage has it all. The kitchen is well equipped though Jacki will arrange for meals to be made for you (pre arrange and homemade locally) if you'd rather have at really easy time. Then there's the village pub the Snowshill Arms good local pub food in a very welcoming atmosphere with log fire or one of the many others in the area. Broadway is only 5 mins away and there are all the other Cotswold villages to explore. Stow, Burford, Chipping Campden, The Slaughters.  Loved the village of Stanton and The Mount Inn though not cheap the food is very good. Back at the house we were made to feel very welcome by both Tim and Jacki who will help you with the best things to see and visit in the area. We would definately come back. A real home from home. Thanks for having us.
