This was our first visit to the Allgau area and therefore we were not sure what to expect.
Our first impression of hotel was apprehensive in that first view showed hotel frontage in out of the way location on steep country lane. Once we walked through entrance however we were greeted in true Bavarian fashion with lederhosen and pretty low dresses.
The bedroom No 26 was pleasant and spacious with outside access. Resturant was well run and our breakfasts and evening meals well served and varied.
The swimming pool was well positioned being next to a good sauna which helped improve the appreciation of the evening meal.
For golfers and walkers there was a drying room which was very necessary after downpours during the golf.
Our dog "Alfie" appreciated being welcomed in our bedroom and had good walks nearby.
The town of Oberstaufen was a good walk away but was very conveiniant to hotel. The surrounding Allgau countryside was wonderful and well worth the trip to an area not often visited by UK tourists.
Finally the owners familie Kirchmann were always available to answer queries and to help out.More
