I took a small tour group to this resort. It was the first time to the Grand Hotel Hof Ragaz. Overall, everything was superb. It is a beautiful hotel with exquisite gardens. I especially loved eating at Namun (Thai restaurant) and Bel-Air (Blue room). Both restaurants catered to my vegan diet and the food was delicious. The spa and thermal baths are out of this world. Members of our group had massages, facials and haircuts and they all raved about how good they were. The service was outstanding and most of the staff spoke excellent English. It would have been nice if the concierge knew more about hiking in the area, but nonetheless, his service was excellent. My deluxe room was spacious and very well appointed. I was on the second floor looking north with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Wifi signal was strong and very fast. Nespresso coffee makers were included in the rooms. The hike to the Tamina Gorge (4km each way) is really worth doing. The gorge is spectacular and make sure you read all the information signs as the history is very interesting. Bad Ragaz town is a short stroll away and although it is small, it is quaint and gives you a typical Swiss experience. As there is a renowned medical center at the resort, you will see people in wheelchairs who have obviously just had some sort of surgery and are recovering. It did not detract from the overall experience.
