I stayed for one night as a stopover in one of the bungalows. It's a very nice and quite location close to the therme and just a shot walk from the center. The bungalows are quite dated but they are comfortable and spacious. Nice balcony overlooking the "relax" area which is a green are with a swimming pool and a small building housing sauna and gym.
I had no problem accepting the dated bungalows as they were comfortable nevertheless. But still I faced a few disappointments. First of all the fridge (albeit richly stocked with various options including champagne) in the room was not working. Then the sauna was advertised as being open until 20:00 but at 19:30 I found it switched off. The pool was supposed to open at 8:00 in the morning but at 8:30 the cover was still on.
Breakfast was very good and parking space is free and plentiful. I'd go there again but would make sure the details are correct this time around.

Room Tip: On of the higher bungalows

Very convenient location. 5 min walk to the Tamina Therme. The rooms in the "castle" are spacious and clean although the decoration may not be to everybody's taste (furniture is not modern) but is charming and authentic! Delicious breakfast. Friendly staff. Hotel guests benefit from a preferred rate on the entrance to the Tamina thermal baths.
Surrounded by trees and a beautiful view of the mountains. They also have a pool & spa area although I did not personally test it.

Nice hotel, with a great breakfast, only problem was the enormous amount of bugs in the rooms! Spiders, flies, mosquitos, moths and countless other, with no mosquito net in the room. You can’t open the window or door because you will have even more bugs in the room!
The bed was nice and the bathroom was also nice, but the bugs just ruined it for me

Dear Cat L
Our hotel and bungalows are in a big park with old trees near the forest. Our guests like so much the park and the nature.
And also spiders, flies and snails live here in our park thats true.
So when you during the evening let open the balcony door and windows with light in the room also in another city of Switzerland / Europe / World you will have some mosquitos, moths and flies inside. They are feeling welcome to come inside because the rooms are so nice.
If you say something directly we can help you with a spray but unfortunantly you say nothing.
We wish you all the best and we hope you find a hotel in a park without any insects and other animals.
Kind regards

We stayed in the hotel over the weekend with the purpose of relaxing, going to Tamina Therme, and traveling a bit in the area. All were achieved successfully so we are very pleased.
The hotel is located in an old castle (schloss) but we elected to stay in the nearby lower cost annex. It is new, well equipped. It is a bit basic but this is what you get at 3 star level and it is a fair deal and good value. The restaurant is 2 minutes walking and we had an excellent breakfast. The dinner is good but average, so on the secind night we ate outside.
The hotel is very clean, nice friendly service, good beds and quiet ambiance. We liked the surrounding forest with birds twitting and magnificent mountains and forests landscape.
The hotel has a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and gym room. The swimming pool is not heated so too cold for swimming in April. A great golf area is adjacent and Tamina Therme is 5 minutes walking.
The is also a fashion outlet 10 minutes driving in Landquart.

Room Tip: you can select half board or breakfast only. half board includes breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea+coffee+sandwiches+cakes.

This was our second stay here as it is perfectly located for us as a stop off before taking the Vereina tunnel train for our ski destination. With dogs you can stay in the pavilion rooms which are very spacious and back on to the garden. Unfortunately you cannot take your dogs into the restaurants which is perfectly fair and you can leave your dogs in the room but we just didn't feel comfortable doing so with young dogs. It is good value for money and a lovely town.
