The Capra is the full package when it comes to luxury boutique hotels, from the moment you enter you feel like you are stepping into an exclusive club.

The view from our signature suite was breathtaking and every little touch in the classic chalet style hotel was thought through from beginning to end.

The spa area is jus the perfect retreat after a day in the mountains and we spent 2 hours each day relaxing in the outdoor hydro therapy pool and then the beautiful spa area which helped the aches.

The breakfast is plentiful and as always the Bircher steals the show and set us up for the day. We had a sun drenched lunch on the terrace one afternoon - Parmesan and truffle chips to die for, washed down with a delicious local rose.

Service on the front desk was impeccable with Simona answering and attending to all requests and the hotel standards being attained by the charming and competent GM Cornelia.

Saas Fee was amazing in the summer, mountain hikes, mountain biking, gorge zip wiring and summer skiing kept fit and we left feeling both energised and relaxed.

Just go to Saas Fee.

Don’t hesitate, this is the place to go to in Saas-Fee!
Our first stay at The Capra came to be a top experience, a week of total relaxation and pleasure.
The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful, gave us personalised recommendations for activities and walks and went the full length to make our stay a great experience.
The recent hotel is stylishly designed with a warm feel to it. It’s a real jewel in Saas-Fee.
Rooms are very comfortable and well equipped, and the terraces let you enjoy the breathtaking mountain views. Moreover, at arrival we learned that we had received an upgrade to the signature suite, which we really loved to stay in.
The hotel has all amenities you could wish for. The wellness area is spacious and elegant, providing for two saunas, a hammam, resting area, a beautiful indoor and outdoor pool. A fitness room, yoga sessions, massage treatments, a library, playroom for the kids, so many things that you could be wishing for are available.
Coming to the real deal: the cuisine is of a level you probably won’t find elsewhere around. The young and promising chef creates an imaginative and delicate cuisine we savoured with great pleasure and kept coming back for. Jérôme, brilliantly hosting us in the restaurant and being a sommelier with a lot of passion for wine and wine making, made us discover the finest wines from the region.
Our week at The Capra really became a discovery trip for fine dining and fine wine in a splendid and relaxing environment.

We’ll certainly be back!

Saas Fee Resort. Big enough to handle well your ski vacation and small enough to still care. Unlike its famous cousin Zermatt. So prepare yourself for quite a treat in The Capra Hotel, which is an obvious choice - make no mistake.
But then, the miracles start to happen.
Just imagine one simple thing, when you finish your day on the slopes, your legs hurt in rigid plastic boots, and you still have to wander down to your hotel. Total bugger, huh? So, the brilliant people at The Capra invented on-the-slope-ski-room, with amenities like coffer machine, teas and bathroom. Locked with the electronic key and door to door transport on demand. Frankly speaking, they won my heart just by doing that.
Then, should I mention unexpectedly helpful and professional reception crew, 5-star gourmet dining in the restaurant (try seasoned lamb) and luxurious and very spacious spa (plums and almonds). And then enormous rooms, splendid views, whoah...

The service at each step of the Guest stay in this hotel is well thought over and performed with true perfection. For that, they should be given rounds of applause.
Believe it or not, we were not keen to leave The Capra after a week of stay, at all. To wash away our tears, at goodbye, we were given something to nibble. Nice touch!

Room tip: Try to get the room in the main building.

If you were to imagine a perfect ski chalet hotel, it would be this one. The Capra is completely magic in every way, the quintessential ski hotel with no detail left out. If every hotel in the world were this well-conceived you'd never stay at home.

If you can afford it, just go. It's worth a visit to Saas-Fee just to stay here.

We stayed for three nights. Loved the restaurant, and bar. The ski chalet was also a special experience. The staff made you feel at home and we loved the greeting with a glass of wine. Our waiter Sebastian was a favorite of ours and our three year old CoCo. The hotel arranged transportation for us as well as a great sitter for our daughter.
It was hard to leave. At least we were traveling next to Zermatt.
