“Great location and a lovely wee chalet”

Spent a week here with 3 adults and 2 teenage girls sharing the chalet. Bedrooms were a little short on floor space but the beds were really comfy. The living area upstairs was excellent with lovely views of the mountains. The kitchen was well kitted out (nice to have sharp knives!) and we had fun making chocolate fondues. It was easy to get to most places from the chalet eg the bus station, the supermarket (we used Migros mostly) and The Hannig and Alpin-Express Lifts didn't take long and various walks we did started directly from the chalet. We spent the week car free, just travelling around on cable cars and buses using the Citizens Passes (only 4 of them though). The owner Karen is really helpful, answering all sorts of queries beforehand.

“Wonderful base for walking/skiing”

Loved the peace and quiet with no cars around and the evening scenery out of the living room windows was amazing as the sun set.
Chalet was clean, cozy and warm with great showers. Bedrooms were on small side but beds were comfortable and we slept well. Had some lovely meals around the table together where we could look out at the mountains with our 'Bloody Mary's'.
Free electric shuttle bus into town and ski lifts convenient but it was only a 5-10 minute walk to the restaurants where we had the best fondue ever plus a couple of great steaks cooked on a hot stone.
A lovely gentle walk down to Saas-Almagell and more challenging walks up to Hannig and a great cafe at Gleteschergrotte where skiiers can ski right up to enjoy lunch sitting in the sun.
We had a brilliant time and were lucky that the sun shone every day until the day we left when it snowed.

“Ideal base for a walking holiday”
Reviewed September 28, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

The chalet is an ideal base for a walking holiday. Four of us (all men with beards) shared the accommodation for a week and there was enough room for us all. The chalet slleeps six in the three down stair bedrooms. The rooms are small but comfortable The main accommodation upstairs is good with a kitchen/diner/lounge. The chalet is warm and cosy and would be a great winter base for skiers. Shops/restaurants are 5 minutes away and the COOP is approximately 10 minutes walk. It would be worth taking an empty rucksack when visiting the COOP as Saas Fee is car free. The main car park is also less than 5 minutes walk from the chalet and it would be advisable to have cases with wheels for the walk to the accommodation. There are 3 cable cars in the village so access to the mountains is easy with good paths all over the area. A perfect base for walking or skiing.

“Perfect stay in Saas Fee. The only "Surprise" was too much snow for April!”
Reviewed April 10, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

We had a fantastic trip to Saas Fee. The chalet was the perfect size and in very nice condition when we arrived. The location is very convenient being only steps from the bus stop. My boys were amazed how quiet everything is in Saas Fee. Michael had everything ready including bathroom items and soap for the first few loads of laundry. There's a Nespresso coffee machine and a very nice microwave/convection oven. The only challenge was waiting two days for the mountain to clear the mountains of snow received during a huge spring storm! In conclusion, the chalet was just perfect for family of four or six.

“Charming Chalet, highly recommended!”

Charming chalet, authentic alpine style and newly renovated.
Although the chalet is at the far end of the village (away from slopes), the bus stop is half a minute walk away for hopping on in the morning (and timing was perfect for getting the children to ski school on time), and we really enjoyed the walk home through the village after a day's skiing and some apres ski. You can deposit your skis and boots in a depot right opposite the slopes so no need to carry that all around either.
The chalet is really cosy and the 3 bedrooms meant our 2 boys got their own bedroom each, so it didn't feel too cramped.
It would have been nice to be able to take grandparents with us, but there is only 1 toilet. There is a second bathroom, although the shower isn't (yet?) finished, and perhaps a 2nd toilet will be installed there?
The kitchen has all needed facilities (take your own nespresso capsules as you can only buy Coop or Migros own brand in the village, which don't taste nearly as good!). Particulary enjoyed our fondue as there is a fondue pan and a raclette oven available.
Would highly recommend taking slippers as the floors were cold (especially entrance hall and bathroom).
Wifi & english TV is available, although we spent evenings playing games and switching off from the outside world :-)
The nearest bakery is a few minutes walk, so we bought bread to bake up fresh in the mornings which was delicious.
Plenty of restaurants within 5 mins walk - best pizza EVER in "Don Ciccio" italian restaurant and delicious traditional swiss food in "La Ferme".
All in all, would highly recommend this delightful chalet if you want true swiss alpine experience whilst having the comfort of a newly renovated property.

“Excellent chalet, great resort”

The chalet is in an excellent position in the quiet area of Saas Fee, ideal for families.
There is a reliable shuttle service to the slopes, less than a minutes walk to the shuttle stop. I would advise hiring a locker to store ski equipment in, down by the slopes, this saves the daily haul to the ski area.
The chalet has excellent amenities, with a modern shower room on the ground floor next to the three bedrooms. The beds were very comfy and the duvets ideal for the winter, all very homely and tastefully decorated.
Upstairs the open plan kitchen / diner / living area is an ideal space to enjoy each other's company after a day on the mountains whether it be food cooked on the raclette or just enjoying a beer or two, a very social space!
Restaurants and bars are less than 10 minute walk away, the nearest shop is a 5 minute walk.
All in all a great chalet that is very comfortable, set in stunning scenery close to everything Saas Fee has to offer, I look forward to returning next year.
