The lake is beautiful even on a rainy day. In our opinion rooms were a bit small for this price ( we payed more than 300 CHF). There is no bathtub and no AC. When I asked about the tub they told me that there are some on the 5th floor but it costs 50 CHF more. Staff is really very friendly.

Loved this place!

We stayed at the Campus Hotel for 4 nights (Aug 29 - Sep 2) and just loved it! Lake Lucerne is absolutely stunning and the lake view rooms at this hotel gave us beautiful memories. The rooms were comfortable and had all basic amenities but the view was simply terrific. The lake, the boats and the mountains are forever etched in our memories now.

Food at the restaurant Hertenstein is also worth a mention. Everything we ate - including the breakfast buffett - was delicious and the staff was very friendly as well. 5 stars hands down. Even the Zurich Marriott where we stayed next compares pale when it comes to food.

The Herteinstein schiffstation (boat stop) is right next to the hotel so it's very convenient if you will depend on public transport during your stay. We actually rented a car as well and there is free parking included. No worries there.

The hotel seems to be a favourite destination for company events, seminars, weddings etc but the event halls are actually a bit detached from the rooms so there is minimal disturbances.

The front desk staff is very friendly, patient and helpful and will give you helpful hints on tours, weather and everything else you need to know about Luzern. You can also buy boat tickets at the front desk which was quite convenient as well.

Nothing much to whine about - something curious was that the AC in the room was somehow tied to the temperature of the lake (don't ask me details) which meant it got a bit warm inside during sunny days. But hey, who's complaining?

Room Tip: Lake View rooms without a doubt!

This hotel location is simply beautiful. Literally on the lake with perfectly positioned sunbeds, comfy chairs and a casual cafe at the waters edge. Even with a huge storm rolling in, the mountains ahead are breathtaking. Paddle boards and canoes a must (easily hired from the hotel) to explore the clear, blue waters of the lake. We spent a brilliant afternoon enjoying the facilities and sunshine. The hotel itself is elegant and understated, with discrete, exceptional service levels. The rooms spacious, modern and well dressed. All with adequately sized and comfy balconies. The food was superb - with the 'hot plates' perfect whatever your choice of meat. I loved the sea bass and risotto - subtle and lite. A good local wine selection is equally worth the indulgence. The breakfast was excellent with a huge and varied choice. We wished we could stay another night. While the bill was higher than expected - we absolutely loved our stay.

We spent unforgettable times the room was very clean and the room service was excellent. We enjoyed the breakfast and of course the most important thing was the lake and the surrounding mountains and the romantic atmosphere.....

Room Tip: Lake view will be a good option
