Description: Murray's Saloon & Eatery has been serving the community of Big Bear Lake for over 20 years, and is a local's favorite. Murray's is famous for its Karaoke (7 nights a week) where you can find individuals from all walks of life (locals, bikers, skiers, hikers) any hour of the day, 365 days a year. Mike and Raelene are the passionate owners and operators of Murray's Saloon & Eatery. The Kostiuks took ownership of Murray's in May of 2009. Over the years they have made significant and much needed updates and improvements. Both the interior and exterior of the bar have been updated, as well as a new and varied menu of home cooked style eats, almost all made from scratch. We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night along with daily specials. You'll find many items named for team members and locals who have inspired these over the top creations (see the Russell Burger). Oh, and if you don't find what you want on the menu, just tell the kitchen what you're craving and they'll happily prepare it for you. Our latest investment is the total redesign and rebuild of our draft beer system. The new system includes 12 handles total, 10 of which are dedicated to local and regional craft brews, as well as standout Belgian and German offerings. In addition, Murray's carries domestic, import and craft beers in bottle. Interested in wine? Murray's has fine California Reds and Whites along with cocktails and shots you won't find anywhere else. We also Cater. Interested in having your Wedding in Big Bear, or maybe a Company picnic? Contact us for more information. No party too small, or too big for us! We invite you to visit us on your next trip to Big Bear Lake. You won't be disappointed with the food, drink or hospitality at Big Bear's only 'Five Star Hole in the Wall.'

Came upon Murrays by accident. Small friendly local bar with inexpensive food and drinks. Great nachos and a foot long hot dog that when on forever. Definitely a gem in the mountains in Big Bear.

The charm of this place is the exceptional service, welcoming to strangers and loving to local friends! The draw of this place has to be the food though, holy moly! A burger so big you can't barely bite into it, a hot dog two people could share, all while tasting absolutely delightful! Would have been 5 star but it is still a dive bar after all and all the filth that entails! Love this place!

Nothing bad, but nothing exceptional here. Tucked on a side street in the Village, Murray's is a relatively small bar ... maybe 10 seats or so at the bar, a handful of small pub tables and a few regular tables. Small selection of beers on tap, but a pretty extensive food menu. We both had fish 'n chips; the fish were crispy and tasty but the fries were a soggy mess (why do most restaurants insist on serving this dish with the fish on top of the fries? It just steams them!). Sat at the bar, so service was good. That being said, for the two of us -- total of four beers and two orders of fish 'n chips; our bill was almost as much as our dinner the next night at the Peppercorn. Again ... nothing particularly negative but nothing really great either. Just so-so.

Murray's was one of the fall wine walk stops and the best by a long shot. Normally you get a sip of wine and a small snack; however, Murray's basically provided an excellent lunch in their outdoor area behind the saloon. There was also a band there and a singer in the bar/restaurant area. They roasted a whole pig and carved it as you went thru the line. Also they had a huge leg of beef to carve. wow. Sides included corn on the cob, a spaghetti cold salad, baked beans, and gourmet mac and cheese. It was a great time. The saloon was also packed with regular customers enjoying the music, food, and drinks. A very friendly place. I will go back during the week when it isn't so crowded. But the wine walk was for a good cause and we still had 11 of the 12 coupons to use at the other 19 locations on the wine walk.

Cold beer, great food, lively crowd,
and even very good karaoke. What more could you ask for in a dive bar? If you don't like noise and small places Murray's is not for you! The servers hustled and made you feel welcome. The crowd included people of all ages and dress but everyone seemed to fit in. If you are ever in Big Bear Lake, CA, you gotta go to Murray's!
