Our 4-night stay in Room 7, facing the back yard, not the A66 highway, was quiet and comfortable. The family running the Guest House was very friendly and helpful. The room was large with plenty of floor space (and a luggage rack) for our suitcases. There were nightstands, a wardrobe with hangers, a comfortable chair (requisite for 4-star Stay English rating) and a dresser with an electric kettle, mugs, etc. The bathroom was also a good size with a warm drying rack, that was turned on in the evenings and the mornings. Breakfast was the Full English Breakfast, with cereals, yogurt, and fresh fruit available. Fresh eggs were supplied by their hens in the far back of their property. We would enjoy staying again.

Room Tip: Back Room avoid noise of highway, though front windows seemed to keep things quiet. View of yard and garden and chickens (in the far back - no sounds) was very relaxing.

once again we returned to Maple Bank for 4 nights while we attended the Keswick Convention.
our 6th visit and just as good as always.
Tommy, Rona and Amy greet us warmly and can not do enough to accommodate myself and my 82 year old Mum.
The fruit salad for breakfast is the high light of my stay whilst my mum's is the fresh eggs from their own chickens!
As long as Tommy and Rhona are at Maple Bank we will be staying there.
Thanks again all of you.

Room Tip: we usually have room 3, a twin. Comfortable beds, quiet location.

We stayed for two nights and came up for SCAFEL PIKE, from the SEATHWAITE approach. Weather was brilliant and we completed our walk with brilliant views at the top. Derwentwater was lovely and the four of us went kayaking on the lake as soon as we got here.

MAPLE BANK is a lovely place to stay and the rooms were a good size and very clean. We had a double bed room overlooking the front of the property. Wonderful views from our room. Tommy and Rhona were fantastic, friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Could not fault a thing. Wonderful experience helped by Tommy and Rhona.

Thanks for map and help with the cold water on a very hot day !

This was our first visit to the north lakes and we weren’t disappointed. The weather was kind; Derwentwater and the hill-walks beckoned and we stayed at Mapel Bank with friends for the weekend, which made the visit complete.
On arrival the house stood proud and inviting and there was plenty of parking for all. Rhona & Tommy welcomed us warmly with essential details we needed to sort ourselves out. Our room was very spacious & comfortable; en-suite with a roomy shower and plenty of fresh towels .
Other reviewers have detailed the breakfasts and we can confirm that the quality was excellent and they were happy to accommodate our requests. Breakfast was a relaxed affair for us; earlier risers were accommodated too. Fresh eggs from hens in the garden were a treat as was the expertise in the cooking. Having stayed in numerous B & B’s over the past few years we can honestly say that this was one of the best. A very relaxing stay.
