This is one of the many casinos that is located at Phsar Prum, the border crossing into Thailand. During a recent visa run, we stopped by to have a drink and look at the insides of this hotel.
Basically its a casino posing as a hotel (like all the other hotels here). It seemed very empty for a Saturday afternoon and we were the only guests in the large restaurant located in the hotel. Service was terrible but even worse was the smell of the place. For some reason the air-conditioner was turned off (perhaps since no one was there), and this contributed greatly to the stuffy and stale smell all over.
The "fresh" fruit juices we ordered came out of a can and the papaya salad looked and tasted funny.
The staff (we saw only 3) were quite unfriendly and it took 10 minutes just to get the menu, while the drinks came 20 minutes after we ordered it. Perhaps they were not used to having guests visit the restaurant, preferring the casino instead
We did not check out the rooms or casino as we just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. Overall, not a nice experience at all.
