“Exactly what we wanted!”
Reviewed 6 January 2012

Arriving from London for a couple of days in the countryside at the end of the Christmas break, we were looking for somewhere we could walk, relax and just be left to our own devices! We found exactly that at The Studio - a completely self-contained (and warm and comfortable) room next to the family property, where we could knock on the door if we needed anything (clothes drying, DVDs to borrow, advice on walking routes, directions to the fish and chip shop!) but where we were completely undisturbed besides the extremely welcome arrival, in the morning, of a full cooked breakfast - and briefly clocking in in the early evening.

The location is brilliant for walkers - our hosts lent us maps and described a pretty challenging walk up in the Brecon Beacons which we could get to, walking, from the house. The tiny pub just a few minutes' walk down the road provided us with some pretty decent food one evening; Crickhowell's fish and chip shop (about 10 minutes' drive) did the job the next day!

Lovely room, lovely place, lovely people - who seem to know just what a B&B visitor to the Welsh countryside tends to be looking for!
