Just spent a week at chalet Joseph. Warning the pictures on here aren't all of chalet Joseph - which is right in the middle of town and next to the local petrol station. The pic of chalet on its own I think is another Rude chalet.
The chalet is 2 apartments in a block of 3 units. The kitchen and dining is in one unit and the living area is in another. It also is a lot smaller than if looks on the rude website. The bedrooms are small but thankfully each has private bathroom. It's not really a chalet.
The rooms were not available on time. The guys to fit skis and boots etc arrived very late. The power went out one evening which meant no heating and all resulted in a bit of a drama to get if fixed. Lots of kids in a chalet in January without heating isn't great.
The hosts were nice enough but the food wasn't great though - fairly basic. Awful pork belly for New Year's Eve which most people didn't eat. By the end of the week the chalet was filthy. The tea towels were black and the dishwasher had packed up and there was a huge pile of rubbish under the stairs going up to the front door.
Free red bull and xboxes and burton branding unfortunately didn't make up for some fundamental problems with the chalet. Would look elsewhere....

We have just stayed here for the Xmas week and it was absolutely brilliant. Our ages ranged from 4-46yrs. The chef Lucy and host Alex are brilliant and the food is very good. Snow conditions were brilliant and the location is superb for both the super morzine which takes you to avoriaz and the pleney lift. We arrived early on the sunday morning and were able to get an extra 1/2 day skiing. The only down side was that the beds were quite uncomfortable. We will return next year.

I stayed at Chalet Joseph for one week at the start of April 2013 with a group of 10 friends (mixed group aged between 23-27). Having been on a few snowboarding holidays but never fully catered we were not sure what to expect but it was awesome!!

Russ was our host and Sarah the chef for the week. the food was fantastic every day - three course home cooked meal every night (examples of mains were: tarteifflet, roast pork belly, chicken pie, curry) - you will not go hungry staying with Rude! The breakfast was a good selection of cereal, eggs (cooked how you like them), yogurt, fruit ect, a good start to a day on the slope! We tended to stay out until 5.30 - 6 so ate lunch on the mountain but on returning there was always a fresh baked cake and any left overs from the evening meal before. The free wine and beer was pretty great too and the free Redbull!

Russ and Sarah were happy to help with anything and give advice on places to eat/drink in Morzine. We had a go at night sledging which was fun and only about £10 and one member of our group whet paragliding (starting off near the Zore lift from super Morzine) on the recommendation of Sarah which she LOVED!

All bar one member of our group hired equipment with Rude and it was great quality - all burton boards, boots and bindings and in top condition. One person wasn't happy with the fit of boots after the first day and Dan, the resort manager was round the next morning to change them.

We really enjoyed have Zac the Rude photographer with us for half a day, he made sure that everyone in the group, of all levels, got on the video at least for a bit. He also pointed out where some of the jumps were at the side of the slopes - I never would of spotted these with out Zac!!

The rooms were good, nice and clean and it was so good to have an en suite bathroom in each room so there was no waiting for the shower after a long day on the slopes!! We stayed on the bottom floor of the chalet where there were 5 double/twin room and a large lounge/kitchen area. on the top floor were a family with young children and a grandma - we saw them at dinner as you all sit on a long table together but as we aren't a rowdy group I think we got on pretty well.

Overall I would recommend Rude to anyone - regardless of age or group size. Everyone is made to feel welcome, the chalet is great and really well equipped and the food is sooooooooo good. I will certainly be going on holiday with Rude again without a doubt.

PS - the snow was also great considering how last in the season we went, we had fresh powder some days!!

Room Tip: Some of the rooms are smaller and can be a little noisy if your at the front of the chalet but I had a larger room at the back of the chalet which was great - no problem at all!

This was my second time staying with rude chalets and they did not disappoint. I had an amazing time. The chalet host Russ and chef Sarah were awesome and the food was top class. I would recommend this company to anybody such a friendly group of people who can't do enough to help.

Visited Chalet Joseph in Feb 2013 but only just got around to reviewing! Chalet is in a great position right in the middle of Morzine and close to main lifts and petit train to other big lift. Bus back from Avoriaz also drops you right outside the door - excellent.
Russ and Sarah were really friendly hosts and always helpful. Food very good and plenty of it - plus the lovely wine. Rooms are a bit basic and I have stayed in better furnished bedrooms but it was comfortable and clean. Only problem I had was that there is no internet signal on the first floor - you end up having to go upstairs if you want to log on - out all day skiing so not really a huge problem just a little niggle.
We went out on a day ski hosting which was really good fun - I would have liked to have seen a bit more video footage of the day but it was free so no complaints there.
All in all a really good ski holiday - really nice guests, everyone got along very well. Good skiing as there was tons of snow. Great.

Room Tip: Choose a room at the back as they are quieter (not overlooking the main street). Top floor rooms have phone signal too.
