Parking is close by and there is now bathrooms and a small cafe. The hike is unique as it features a bridge and slippery slate staircase. The waterfall was lovely and cold. The bridges are the best part of the attraction and the architecture is a marvel to see
At £15 for a family of 4 this seemed like a lot of money but it was well worth it. The views of the waterfall are unbelievable. Be prepared for a lot of steps including Jacobs Ladder aka the death steps but take your time and it’s fine. Definetly worth a visit. Walk is around a mile long
This place claims to have disability access to the waterfalls but it is a lie!!! So angry and disappointed!
If you are in a wheelchair or have any mobility issues - DO NOT COME HERE!! It is a waste of your time and money. We were under the impression there would be a ramp or slope where you’d get the opportunity to see the falls but in reality you pay the SAME PRICE as a DISABLED PERSON to pass a gate and look at a bridge with no access to the falls or the walk. There is no where to go past this small area, ‘access’ my foot!
Worse still we were not informed of this after we paid our tickets whereby we had two people in our family with a disability that could not make it past this point.
Went on the train to Devil's Bridge and then did the Nature Trail which is the longer walk and takes a good hour. The views of the waterfalls are fabulous with lots of photo opportunities and a very pleasant walk as well. Reasonable level of fitness required, although there is a handrail and a few seats to have a rest. We took the 10.30 train and returned on the 4.00 so we didn't have to rush. Combined with a spot of lunch, the shorter walk and a visit to the chocolate shop made a lovely day.
Took the railway to the waterfalls. There's a hotel just outside the gates to you can have food before going down. It's quite steep but its worth it for the view and photo opportunities. I love listening to the folk tale of how the old woman beat the devil.
Really not worth the £4.75 entry fee. Plenty of free waterfalls in this area. Lots of the 'steps' are tree roots or slippery rocks to step on. We saw 3 signs warning of 'danger- loose handrail'. For the money they charge & safety of the general public, there shouldn't be any loose rails. Somebody is making a fortune out of this place.
They even charge an extra £2 per adult to access the short walk over the road.
We wouldn't go again.
