Just back from a two night stay with my husband and one child. We are regulars here for the last 11 years and it is still great value in really comfortable surroundings. All of the staff are wonderful - cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable and most of them have been there since we first went up - which is a sign of a well run establishment. The only slight drawback is that recently they have been advertising for Hens and Stags parties. This will always attract a certain kind of visitor and we prefer the quieter, more family atmosphere that we are used to here. However, when we asked at reception, they advised us to ask for a room on the higher floors as they try to keep the larger parties together in the smoking rooms on the 2nd floor which was fair enough. We will definitely be back!!

Room Tip: higher floors are away from the hens and stags parties so if you want a good night sleep, ask for o...

My husband and I enjoyed a great overnight stay in Canal Court on Easter Monday with our daughters. We stayed in a family room with a king size bed and 2 single beds. We were looking out over the canal which was very nice.
The kids were delighted that we had free WiFi in our room and they were able to use their gadgets!!
The swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were a hit for them and we used them on both days.
I had only booked a week earlier when I got an offer on email from the hotel and it was a great bargain as kids stayed free.
Breakfast was good. The only minor complaint was having to wait 45 minutes to get our dinner on Monday evening. The place was very busy and we were told on ordering that there would be a delay. However, it was worth the wait as the food was very tasty.
We were able to walk across to the cinema at the Quays the first night and walk across to both shopping centres the next day.
There is an ample free car park at the hotel. We will be back- thanks to all the staff for making us very welcome.

Room Tip: Ask for a view over the canal.

Hotel is situated right in the heart of the city handy to pubs, restaurants and shops ideal location especially if you are not a driver.
Rooms are spacious and food is excellent.

Slight criticism is the bar staff seem to disappear from behind the bar when you require service mostly happened during the day

Room Tip: Rooms at front of hotel overlooking the canal

I had never stayed in the Canal Court, until I was invited to go on a hen party. We were booked to stay overnight, including B&B, two course meal and a cocktail making session.
The reception staff were very helpful
The rooms were very comfortable, the whole hen party were given rooms beside each other on the same corridor.
The cocktail making session was very good craic and we all agreed that Sean who hosted this made our evening even more fantastic!! would definately recommend this as a hen activity
The two course menu provided was limited with choices, but what we did order was grand.
Later on in the evening we returned to the club attached to the Canal court and were plesantly surprised and impressed by a live band.
Breakfast the next morning was good, only to be faulted by being slightly chaotic.

I would certainly stay here again.
