“A romantic little snug in the countryside”
Reviewed March 5, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

This is a beautiful and well kitted out cottage. We enjoyed evenings in with candles and a log burning fire listening to music from the CD collection available - great selection! It was very peaceful which was just what we needed after a gruelling week at work. We used it as a basecamp to explore the area...it was always so warm and cosy which was great after a chilly day visiting castles!

I would definitely recommend this cottage to a friend...but would advise that friend to watch their head. Part of the charm of the cottage is that you need to duck going up and down the stairs due to low lying beams!

I am giving it 4/5 due to one area which i am sure the owner will sort now i am flagging it- there was not one frying pan in the whole place that wasnt caked with burnt bits...and beyond repair. This made it a bit hard with our valentines meal (we had bought steak). We ended up cooking it in a non stick saucepan - but found this a bit of a challenge as there was no spatula for non stick (didnt want to destroy another pan!)

Management Response
6 Mar 2015
I was unaware of the state of the frying pans as they are always put away in the kitchen cupboards. Had I been aware I would have replaced them straight away, which I have since done so since this review. I pride myself of the cleanliness and upkeep of the cottage, so very disappoint to discover this in a review.

What an amazing find and a totally wonderful experience in every respect .
The warmth of the welcome from Jasmine and the attention to detail in the cottage made us feel like we had entered another world - a world of escape and relaxation .A home from home .
Thank you .

We searched the internet for the perfect cottage for our honeymoon, and when I saw the pictures of Parc y Brenin, I thought it must be too good to be true, that we might get there and it not live up to its promises. But it did, and then some!

We arrived late, in the dark and were overjoyed when we turned on the light; everything was furnished beautifully, immaculately clean and Jasmine the owner, who lives next door, had even left us a welcome tray, a bottle of Bucks Fizz and a happy wedding day card. The heating had been left on for us so it was lovely and warm, and the wood burner, with logs supplied, made things toasty and cosy, not that you need it as there is heating in each room. From the candles in the bathroom to the lovely soft furnishings throughout, this cottage is romantic, magical and delightful. I cannot recommend it highly enough. It was perfect for us as a honeymoon couple and we look forward to coming back with our children to enjoy the cute little twin room!

The garden is lovely even though the rain kept us from sitting out in it, and the town of Llandeilo is handy for food, supplies and gifts, and I recommend the Ginhaus deli there for good food and coffee.

A perfect honeymoon in the perfect little romantic hideaway, we were so sorry to leave and will be back!

“Lovely little cottage in a quiet rural setting”
Reviewed August 18, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We enjoyed 3 nights at Jasmine's wonderful little cottage. Comfortable, cosy and quiet. Well equipped and very tastefully decorated. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner Jasmine, who we bumped into during our stay. A tray of cakes and Welsh cakes were a welcome sight along with a good cup of tea after our long journey from Guildford. We hope to return soon. Thanks

Had a fantastic time at Parc Y Brenin, staying with partner and friends. The cottage was absolutely fantastic, located perfectly for exploring all that Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire has to offer, which though we only had 3 nights proved to be a lot!

We really appreciated the small touches such as arriving to tea and cake. Jasmine the owner is fantastic and made a number of great suggestions for things to do in the local area.

A real gem of a cottage in a beautiful area, we certainly hope to return soon.

“Home sweet home”
Reviewed April 28, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

This cottage is gorgeous. Very sweet, yet with everything we needed, including wifi, washing machine, and a DVD player. We stayed there with 2 young kids and had a great holiday, there's lots to do in the area if you like exploring castles, gardens and wildlife. Saw red kites from the garden whilst drinking tea and eating complimentary welsh cakes.....

“Wonderful cosy cottage”
Reviewed April 23, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We had a lovely 3 night stay at this cottage. We were welcomed by a tray of tea and Easter treats and an Easter card. The cottage itself was beautifully presented - very traditional and cosy, with the log fire an added bonus.
Situated in beautiful surroundings, this cottage is ideal for a relaxing break. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful - giving us lots of tips about places to go in the local area. We took our dog, and she was equally welcomed!
I couldn't recommend this cottage highly enough.
