Everything as described and probably more, as for being an upside down house in this weather an absolute bonus, the bedrooms are really cool as though there was air-conditioning.
Llandeilo is a very picturesque village with easy access to other beautiful areas of Wales. Great eating places, deli and supermarkets all within walking distance.
We have stayed in Llandeilo numerous times in the past with friends and really like the town.
As friends were having a house party nearby we decided to seek seperate accommodation as we were bringing our little girl along.
With the Cawdors full which is our usual backup, we hunted around and came across Merlins House, which was very lucky for us.
Merlin's house is close to all the local amenities and is a lovely little place to spend some time.
We enjoyed the large lounge area to relax in and the kitchen was very well equiped.
The bedrooms were very well appointed and the beds comfortable.
The bathroom was lovely, with the only downside being if your bringing a young child there isn't a bath, but for a weekend away it wasn't a problem for us and as the shower was nice we made the most of it.
As a side note my daughter loved the Jack and Jill doors between the main bedroom and the bathroom and the bedroom landing which meant she could run around.
Lovely stay and if we need accomodation again in the area a place we would use again.
Stayed for a long weekend in gloomy November and had an absolute ball. The property is suprisingly spacious with vast sofas in the living space and a Cathedal style ceiling. The gallery kitchen was very well appointed with lovely granite worktops and the crockery was very good quality. Downstairs there was 2 bedrooms. One is a twin and the other is a large double. The bedlinen was high quality with charming welsh "throws". The bathroom was lovely with a very good use of space. What I loved most about the place was the high standard of "finishing" eg charming latches on the doors/ superb wall paper in the porch annex. Wherever one looked there was something pleasing to the eye. Llandeilo itself has a great range of fabulous shops including an excellent butchers shop on the same dinky street as the cottage. We lit nice candles / cooked up a storm and revelled in our gloriously cosy cottage. A real gem.
