“5 stars plus”
Reviewed June 9, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Lovely cottage, modern, clean, bright and spacious. Friendly welcome from owner. Location of cottage perfect for those, like us, who want to get away from it all. Long farm track then turn into cottage driveway and be stunned by beautiful views of the glen. It is peaceful and quiet, with only the occasional sheep or cow breaking the silence. There is no light pollution and on a clear night you see all the stars. Could not praise this property high enough.

My husband, baby and I had a wonderfully relaxing week in this wee (well, actually very spacious) gem. The photos are fantastic but it looks even better in real life.

Breidge was extremely welcoming and was so helpful in providing a baby cot and bath for our wee one, and the welcome basket was just what we needed for a fry up in the morning! This cottage is very comfortable and luxurious; all furnishings and fittings are of an exceptionally high standard and it really does have everything you could need. It was spotlessly clean.

We absolutely loved waking up to the mooing cows just over the fence in the garden, and the positioning of this cottage make it perfect for exploring the Glens of Antrim and the wonderful north Antrim coast. I cannot recommend enough, and would love to return in the near future.

“A hidden gem.”

We found Glendarragh Holiday Cottage when we were looking for a quiet, peaceful location to spend a few days hiding away from the world and exploring the Glens of Antrim. From what we could see on the Glendarragh Holiday Cottage website, it looked ideal.

We booked by contacting the landlady directly. Communication with Breidge was excellent and she was always replied promptly with helpful advice.

On arrival, we were very impressed with the cottage; the property was clean, pristine and beautifully finished as advertised. It's clear that the renovation and preparation of the cottage has been a labour of love. In addition, we found a welcome basket of food, enough for a good breakfast or lunch. This thoughtful addition was greatly appreciated and is something that is missing from other similar properties I have stayed in. The property is well appointed with all the kitchen utensils you could ever need, a washer, drier and dishwasher. If the weather gets really bad, the cottage has SkyTV and broadband access. A longer stay here with family would be easy.

The cottage is located away from the main road in a quiet, scenic pastoral setting. Access to the Glens and scenery familiar from Game of Thrones is easy. This would make an excellent base for those wishing to explore the opportunities for walking, cycling or angling in the Glens or along the North coast. There are plenty of options to explore the food and entertainment in the nearby towns as well and Breidge was able to provide a number for a reliable local taxi service if you don't want to drive.

Glendarragh Cottage is one of the nicest self-catering properties I've stayed in and was everything and more that we had hoped for. We look forward to visiting again.

“Excellent, well-equipped cottage, great location, friendly Landlady”

This cottage is in great condition, well-equipped, including dishwasher, washing machine & separate dryer. Clean bedding was provided and even some food for the first meal. The location is scenic, with fields full of sheep on the opposite hillside. Easy access to Cushendall village and local shops & restaurants.

If you wish to 'get away from it all' this is for you, although you still have broadband.

We enjoyed our stay in Glendarragh immensely. The cottage was perfect- cozy, spotless, and so well kitted out. We wanted for nothing!
Breidge was so warm and welcoming, and we definitely appreciated the basket of goodies.
And the location- a great rural hideaway. I really can't say enough good things about this place.
