This is our 3rd visit at Ballycastle House. A beautiful bed & Breakfast for the most discerning traveler. What really makes the stay outstanding are the hosts Margaret and Ronnie Deering who make you feel like part of the family. The Ulster fries and morning breakfasts are outstanding cooked to your order. This is a great way to start your day on the Ards Peninsula. Ronnie also has an outstanding tractor and car collection which in itself is a major attraction for guests at the hotel. One of the best in all of Ireland.

Room Tip: The cottage on location is great for families staying over an extended period.

I can't thank Margaret and her husband enough for their hospitality during our stay at the end of August. The house is absolutely stunning and you instantly feel at home. Me and my fiance shared the double room, which was absolutely beautiful, very spacious and had a large bathroom. Margaret has thought of every detail from tea, coffee, water and biscuits in your room to toiletries/towels in the bathroom and not to mention, the superb irish breakfast!

The bed was so comfortable, it was a shame we had to leave it so early, which is not usually something you find in a B&B.

Breakfast has everything you need from a fruit/yoghurt bar with fresh juice to a fully laid table with a delicious breakfast. The house is absolutely spotless.

I cannot fault Ballycastle House and we definitely hope to return when we next visit Ireland. I think it will be difficult to find a B&B elsewhere that caters to the same level that Ballycastle House does.

It came as no surprise that Margaret and Ronnie's hospitality and accommodations were top drawer. We stayed with them in 2010 and have talked about it ever since, and on both occasions we were treated like old friends at their very comfortable home.
Their one large breakfast table and Margaret's introductions made for friendly conversation with other guests as we shared stories and overcame language barriers.
Ballycastle is well situated for exploring small towns, the shore and, or course, Mount Stewart House and Gardens.
You don't have to be a motorhead to appreciate Ronnie's large assortment of tractors and cars in various states of restoration(some complete) which he so generously led me through as he explained the history of each one and revealed he does most of the work himself. I think he's living a dream.
What a great place!!!

We had a lovely stay with Margaret and Ronnie. We had a warm welcome with tea/coffee and biscuits. It is everything you expect of a traditional bed and breakfast, a beautiful house and rooms. The room had tea making facilities and the after eight mints by the bed were a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and we have a big ensuite bathroom. Nothing was too much trouble for Margaret and they were super friendly. Excellent value for money and minutes away from Mount Stewart and Greyabbey village. The cooked breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. We highly recommend this b&b.

Margaret and her husband are amazing hosts and I can't thank them enough for their kindness and hospitality on my recent visit. From a welcoming cup of tea, beautiful en suite room and a great gluten free breakfast (especially made for me) nothing is too much bother for them. Stunning place inside and out but it is the hosts who put the icing on the cake!

The house is a beautiful family homeplace and very comfortable, the breakfast was GREAT. The Deering's treated my wife and I like family. Ron spent an afternoon showing me his antique tractor collection, and what a collection it is. Very convenient for travel to Belfast. The type B&B that we are always looking for.
