Had an evening meal and drinks here with my girlfriend. Lovely warm pub with clean and comfortable deco. Had faggots whilst my girlfriend had the beef wellington. Excellent quality of food with the main meals costing between 12-20 pounds. Good service too...

Thank Julian F

Went here three times during our visit to the area. Fabulous fish and chips (even have gluten free now). Also great soups and salads. Service was excellent and we were able to book a table in advance. Lovely place!

We arrived in Bradford in Avon with no idea where to eat so after a walk round chose the Dandy Lion on its appearance, as it looked clean and tidy with polished surfaces. We had a beer, Wadworths, which was well kept.
The menu was really interesting and the food was excellent, there's no other way to describe it, with good portions. The staff were really good, friendly and good at their jobs. We thought the prices were slightly lower than the average pub meal.
The pub is also popular with locals, always a good sign. It's well kept with plenty of room.
We ended up here on our second day too, as we decided the food was so good that it wasn't worth trying anywhere else. My wife even had the quich for a second day running.
Prices.

Such a lovely place to find in the heart of BOA. An oldy worldy pub with a modern luxury about it.
We had dinner for 4 on a Saturday night and although it was busy the staff were friendly, attentive and chatty. The table was cleared in good time (as were the ones around us) and the food came out promptly.
The food was great pub grub done exquisitely. Pie of the week - Moroccan Lamb - delicious and the Lime and Coconut cheesecake was divine
I'm looking forward to visiting again.
Only downside - we couldn't tip on our card and as we had no cash (we even tried to find a cash machine!!) we shall definitely be posting a tip as it was well earned.
