We’ve just come back from a weekend at Guyers House Hotel to celebrate our anniversary and it was lovely. It’s a beautiful hotel in Corsham, about 20 minutes outside Bath. We used a Groupon deal for two nights bed and breakfast with dinner on the first night and weren’t disappointed. Our classic double room was cosy, not huge but a good size, with lovely beams in the bedroom and bathroom, with everything you could wish for. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Dinner the first night was amazing! A good choice of courses to cater for all. The dessert (caramel fondant with Granny Smith sorbet) was to die for! One of the best desserts I’ve ever had! Breakfast was equally as good as dinner! A great choice of fruit, pastries, cereals, juices on the buffet table then a good choice of breakfast from the menu. Absolutely delicious. Everything was well presented and nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were extremely friendly and attentive. They are a credit to the hotel and restaurant. The hotel grounds are beautiful and really well kept. I would imagine in summer it is a lovely place to sit outside with a glass of wine! All in all a really nice weekend and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Had afternoon tea on a Travel Zoo voucher. Nice room and nice seats. Food was fine given we had paid a reduced amount to that on menu. If we had paid full amount the review might have been a touch different. It came over as a very nice location on outskirts of Corsham

Room Tip: Try and get Travel Zoo voucher if going for afternoon tea. £20 plus per head would be a bit steep to pay.

This is a lovely well run country hotel in very pretty grounds. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated and clean.
The staff were friendly helpful and efficient. Food was first class. Certainly no complaints and will be definitely returning in the warmer weather.

We had lunch with friends today at Guyers House. Absolute heaven ! We were on a coupon deal so didn't expect the earth. But we were very pleasantly surprised by everything. The house itself and the setting is just superb. The lovely friendly and helpful staff that looked after us so well and made the visit so relaxing and pleasant are a delight. The bar serves amongst other things an excellent pint of Wadworths 6X which is unusual for a hotel bar. The beautiful bright dining room is a 'proper' dining room with bright tablecloths and flowers on the tables. The lunch menu is a little restricted but still has a good choice. The food itself was delicious and well presented. An excellent wine list with some reasonably priced favourites. Rounded off with a good coffee the whole meal and indeed dining experience was a delight. Thank you. We shall certainly be returning 'deal or no deal'. Anyone that can find fault with this place really ought to stick to McDonalds where they are obviously more at home.
