Lovely (eccentric in a good way) decor and such nice young people working there. A really decent cream team - charming.

The Tea Room itself is situated in a gorgeous little side street off the main road into Bakewell. Quiet and full of charisma the team room boasts a wonderful character with plenty of art and vintage works across the walls.

Prebooked Afternoon Teas are generally done upstairs away from the bustling downstairs, with the table booked once and once only to allow you the time to indulge in your afternoon treats.

I would highly recommend splashing out for the Delux tea; at £20 a head it is pricey but very worth it. A glorious tower of various sandwiches and cakes this tea is certainly a challenge.

A mix of prawn mayonnaise, smoked salmon and cream cheese, ham and English mustard and cheese and red onion chutney line the first tier of your five tier tower of delacacies. The second tier is a home baked scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam.

Carrot cake and a rich chocolate cake fill the third with extra sandwiches on the fourth tier. Right at the top an ample slice of Bakewell tray bake to finish off the tea.

The gluten free tea had all the same food but with purchase gluten free alternatives. My mother is sporting this yummy tower.

Overall a fantastic atmosphere, wonderful food and a fantastic experience.

Thank James C

Myself, my daughter and daughter in law visited the tea rooms to celebrate their birthdays.
We had the deluxe afternoon tea each and it was lovely. There were four different types of sandwiches, bakewell tart, two cakes each and a homemade scone with jam and clotted cream as well as a big pot of tea. All the food was very good. The scones were nice and fresh and we each had an individual pot of cream and pot of jam to go with them.
The whole tea was served on an impressive five tier cake stand.
The staff were very good as well.
I would certainly visit again even if all I wanted was a cup of tea.

Lovely cafe in a picturesque square but disappointed with the scones. At £2.25 for a scone I expected that they were home made and not 4 pack value scones wrapped in cellophane.
