We really can't add anything extra to the already excellent reviews, but here goes anyway! Our room was very comfortable, beautifully furnished, elegantly decorated, and spotlessly clean, with a spacious and equally impressive ensuite shower room. Very well appointed, with lots of little extra luxuries such as toiletries, body lotion,a well equipped hospitality tray, and even an iron and ironing board secreted in the spacious wardrobe. The breakfast room was very pleasant, beautifully laid out, and a great setting for the delicious breakfasts that we enjoyed every morning. Very pleasant, helpful hosts. Only a short walk to the town centre. We were there for a family wedding at Fountains Abbey, and had been unable to get rooms with other members of the family in one of the local, well known and newly refurbished hotels. How fortunate that was for us!. No hotel, however nice, can provide the kind of personalised experience you get in a first class guest house! Would certainly stay there again.

A guest house can only ever be as good as the hosts and Paul & Penny played blinders. from the moment we rang the front door bell, we were treated like royalty, they even gave us their own parking spot for our hire car.
The room was tidy and comfortable and quiet. The decor was in keeping with a house of the era (1850's).

This guest house is only a small stroll from the City centre and main square. Though having city status Ripon is really quite a small market town, but interesting all the same.

The included breakfast was great and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this accommodation.

Fantastic is the word I would use for the service, the breakfast, the rooms and the stay.
As part of the large family group mentioned by Justine H in her review all I can do is 100% agree with every word she said!
I will be back the next time I make my way North to visit family and look forward to seeing Paul and Penny again.

My husband and I (along with 11 other family members) stayed at the Crescent Lodge for 2 nights for a family wedding. Finding a B&B to cater for 13 people (6 adults, 7 children) could have been challenging but we were recommended the Crescent Lodge and it proved to be an excellent choice. With a variety of rooms available, we comfortably settled in and enjoyed every moment of our stay. All our rooms were clean and tidy, Penny and Paul were excellent hosts and the breakfast thoroughly enjoyed. Crescent Lodge is perfectly situated for a short walk into the city centre and it's local attractions. With family based in Ripon we will definitely stay at Crescent Lodge in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at Crescent Lodge. Paul and Penny were very welcoming and friendly! Our room was very clean with ample space. Its only a short walk into Ripon Centre. The breakfast was fantastic, Paul makes sure you get all you need from fresh fruit and cereals to the full English and if you like marmalade its your dream there is such a choice of different flavours you will have to ask Paul for his "MARMALADE MENU " We will certainly visit Ripon again and we will be stopping at Paul and Pennys Crescent Lodge!!!!!!
