Stayed here for its proximity to the Three Chimney's restaurant. This was our first trip north of Glasgow and we stayed in a different place every night in a mix of cheap and expensive, and a mix of hotels and B&Bs. Of all of them though this was my favourate. We stayed in the little detached single storey cottage behind the main house. Behind though means the most stunning views - the best we had from any of our stays all week. We were very lucky though that the weather happened to be so good. Having the cottage all to ourselves was excellent and the short walk to the restaurant was such a bonus - far better I think than the very short walk from the restaurants own accommodation - lovely as it did look But, if like us, money is a consideration, then the Silverdale cottage is an absolutely excellent alternative. Our host was excellent and we could'n't have asked for more. The only thing you have to remember though is that the hot water tank takes a while to refill so if you are both fan of baths leave a gap between them. Skye is so lovely and we wishd we could have spent more time here - we will definately be back - cant recommend this place highly enough.
