The best:
- convenient for big groups
- the weekend menu is cheap
- it was very quick
- the french fries were excellent (home made)

The worst:
- the wine included on the menu was not good. Better drink water
- the food was not great. Generally not enjoyable. Especially dessert

We like this restaurant. Like an old winery with wonderful brick ceilings, it's airy, yet full of atmosphere. We've been a few times and entered via the carpark door. Good move that, we were greeted and shown to a table very quickly by the owner, who is a very nice lady. We did have our dog with us and we would have left him in the car which was shaded, the owner wouldn't hear of it and told us to bring him in. We appreciated her understanding.... we sat down to a wonderful lunch, dog under the table sleeping... thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the Spanish atmosphere.. If in season, try the enchallotts with sauces, you will need a bib......deserts fab....don't miss this restaurant if you are anywhere near.....

We have been to this place for more than 35

years. It WAS in the past Spectacular. However our recent experience on 08. October was disgusting. Meat quality was aweful. Never had a bad meal like this anywhere in the world. Must be new owners now... Do not know the people...maybe previous owner retired and now they go cheap. Make 20 mile radius around this place. My heart bleeds to write this as we had great meals in the past, but now forget it.

What a pity more people staying on the coast do not venture a few kilometres inland to this excellent value for money restaurant. A welcome sangria and nibbles, 3 courses including a quarter carafe of wine (or beer) coffees and a limoncello (alcoholic and non alcoholic) and the cost less than 20 euros a head. Good sized portions, fresh ingredients what more can you ask for. Country cooking at its best - we go every time we are in St Pere and are never disappointed - forget the more expensive camp site restaurants and Mas Guso - it's well worth the visit.

This is a find! But a bit difficult to find! Friends promised us a simple meal after Figueras's Tuesday market and we thought... Bread, charcuterie, salad or cheese. Wrong.
This is a gorgeous converted farm barn once housing agricultural machinery in this rural part of Emporda. It's only 13 minutes from Figueras we realised later. Huge arches, lots of space yet fairly intimate. Air conditioned too (needed when it was 37 degrees outside). Charming and helpful staff with a warm welcome. We all chose the menu of the day at 15 euros. All was home-made including the desserts wheeled around at the end of the meal. Ravioli filled with Gorgonzola as a starter were excellent and copious. Creamed Spinach with ham was also a delicious starter. The pork ribs were tasty but a bit sturdy while the fish with a green pea, garlic and parsley was good. Wine and water were fairly priced - and some beverages were included in the menu. We were hot and thirsty and drank beyond the scope of the menu!
Next time - and there definitely will be one - we might go à la carte as we saw many a tempting dish pass us for other tables.
