Neat. tidy and clean, with modern appliances and contemporary furnishings. The owner is warm, hospitable and very keen to ensure your stay is pleasurable. The house is a brisk ten minutes walk from the centre of Kenmare, a most pleasant village, with no shortage of shops, grocery stores, restaurants and coffee spots. One notable absence in the village was that of WiFi facilities (nearby Lady's View, on the 'Ring', provides ready access and a decent drop of Guiness).
Beware: Google maps and GPS navigation systems may direct you over Priest's Leap if approaching Kenmare from the south. The Priest's Leap road, although sealed, is a tortuous single lane track on the approach and descent from the summit, not suitable for the less adventurous or those faint of heart. Stick to the N71 if in doubt.More
