“Fantastic Family Holiday”
Reviewed August 30, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

9 of my family, 5 Adults and 4 young children (our grandchildren) have just returned from a brilliant holiday in Glen Cottage.

The cottage was fantastically appointed, even down to kitchen and toilet rolls. The 5 large bedrooms, 4 with en-suits were really comfortable with views over the mountains. There is a large family bathroom, large well appointed kitchen and lounge.

Locally we took a RIB trip into Dingle bay to see Fungie, the resident Dolphin. The Grandchildren thought that this was brilliant, especially when the RIB went into a cave.

Another RIB trip to the Blacket Islands was, to say the least, exhilarating with the RIB seeming to 'take air' once or twice during the trip. ON the way to the island we came across a pod of wild Dolphins and just of the Island's beach a group of seals.

Horse riding was undertaken which included a gallop along the beach and a treck in the mountains.

The children took advantage of the indoor Climbing wall just down the road, with my 5 year old grandson and 6 year old granddaughter going up and down as if they were born to it. They also loved the aquarium in Dingle and absolutely loved the beach at Inch Strand.

Ross Castle in Killarney and a 2 hour trip around the lake was also a winner with the children.

All in All a fantastic weeks holiday, we will certainly return.

“Fantastic Family Holiday”
Reviewed August 30, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

My wife, 2 daughters,1 son in law and 4 young grandchildren spent a great week in Glen Cottage.

Our first impression was 'Wow' 5 large bedrooms, 4 with en-suits an large family bathroom, superbly appointed kitchen and large lounge. Having used a few rentals in the past, we came prepared with kinds of consumables, from kitchen roll to toilet rolls. We need not have bothered, these were included in the rental.

The location is fantastic, a short drive into Dingle for all of the attractions, the Aquarium, great if the weather is not too good.

We took a RIB Trip into the bay to see Fungie, which the grandchildren loved, as did the adults, the kids thought that the RIB nosing into a cave was brilliant.

A RIB trip to the Blasket Islands was incredibly exciting, with the RIB seeming to 'take air' once or twice during the journey. We came across a pod of wild dolphins during the trip and a group of seals just of the beach.

There was horse riding in Ventry with a two hour trip which included a gallop along the beach and a treck through the mountain.

All in all a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and I would highly recommend this cottage and will almost certainly be returning in a year or two.

A clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped house with a very welcoming and helpful host. It was also in a great location with a lovely walk/hike just up the road. Would definitely recommend.

“Lovely stay that checked all our boxes”
Reviewed August 10, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We were in Dingle for our daughters wedding and the immediate family spent the week at Glen Cottage. We were 8 adults, 2 children and 1 baby. The house was roomy with nice, clean bedrooms and bathrooms for all as well as comfortable gathering spaces. The kitchen which was so homey is where we spent most of our time when we weren't roaming or sleeping. The hosts were very quick to respond to our emails when we were booking and were friendly and helpful when we arrived. The setting is on a very quiet a lush hillside just a few minutes outside the fun hustle and bustle of Dingle. We took several walks up the tiny road beside the house to an even higher viewpoint which was beautiful and just right for the age ranges. This was a momentous week for our family and the cottage kept and held us well.

Glen Cottage is a must see property. Nestled in the hills of Dingle, Co. Kerry it is a close drive to the pretty seaside town which is bustling with great traditional bars and restaurants. It is an extremely spacious house with anything you could possibly want for a week away. We stayed on a particularly wet and windy week but the house was still extremely warm and cosy. It was left in immaculate condition for our arrival. Could not rate the property or the service highly enough. We definitely intend on returning!

“Secluded, yet convenient getaway.”
Reviewed September 3, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

My husband and I, 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter stayed here for just over a week and we had a brilliant time.
The cottage is a fantastic size with ample rooms to choose from and an outdoor space which is safer than some of the properties we had looked into.
The benefit of watching the sheep and cows in the adjacent fields was a bonus over meal times from the very roomy kitchen.
The use of WIFI was extremely handy to help plan trips or just to keep the children amused, but the hidden selection of DVDs was a bonus too.
We didn't need additional assistance from Kathleen, but I know we could call on her at any time had the case arisen. Her directions to the cottage were very good when you don't make a detour to stock up on some essential items!!! The addition of milk in the fridge on our arrival was a lovely gesture.
A handy file filled us in on what was about the cottage and immediate area, and the information of pharmacies was extremely helpful. A trip to Kool Scoops in Dingle Town would also be on the list... Nicest ice-cream in the area!!
We would highly recommend Glen Cottage and would certainly re-book when we head back to Co.Kerry.
Thank you.

“Brilliant”
Reviewed June 17, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

my malaysian family and I ( 8 people) stayed in this cottage for 3 nights in June and we found it to be the most pleasant place to stay with fully equipped house, fantastic views and most of all a very kind and helpful owner. we cannot found any fault with this cottage and and we felt so at home too. The cottage location is just perfect to explore Dingle Town and the magnificent Dingle Peninsula and also Ventry beach was just perfect to entertain my nieces and nephew. i highly recommended this place to any body with extended family wanting a place to stay around the Dingle peninsula to explore the surrounding area. I like to thank the owner Kathleen for her great hospitality too and to provide the top of the class accommodation.
