a traditional irish guest house with a warm welcome and excellent food! the daveys are excellent hoteliers and our room was a good size, very clean and then cleaned daily.
we spent 3 days there just before Easter and would definately go back next time I go to Bundoran. Walking distance to Bundoran (East End) and close to the picturesque Roguey Walk, an unspolit cliff around Bundoran Bay and beach (and hopefully it will remain unspoilt as the town is quite ommercialised!)
Bundoran has changed greatly in the last 10 years. its very commercial but has good facilties for an Irish family holiday (although you cant guarantee the weather!) I just wish that my old family home opposite the phoenix pub didn't have just have a crumbling wall standing after it being demolishing where it now houses a supermarket car park!!!
so in conclusion, stay at killavil, much nicer than a lot of Bundoran's hotels but travel out of Bundoran to nearby Donegal, Ballyshannon, Rossknowlagh, Belleek (over border) for great views and good food!!!
