We had trouble finding this place, however in our quest we ended up following a Suck (sook) Valley Trail. If you are having trouble finding this place. The first poster had excellent directions, but lacked distance, so you might find yourself unsure if you have gone far enough, the co-ordinates are: N53.58556 W8.27003.
From Athleague you follow the R632 NNW for roughly 2 km when the split in the road happens and you follow right onto Belannacarrow. After about half a kilometer you cross the river Suck with the stone bridge the first poster talked about. There is a sign that shows you have to drive into the private road to see the stone. The drive is called Castlesledge and came up on our gps system, but not on google maps. Its better to leave your car at the gate and walk to the stone.
The more famous of the three surviving stones is to be found on your way from Athlone to Galway on the M6. The Turoe Stone can be found when taking the N65 that goes to Loughrea.
I hope this helped, we had an excellent adventure on the Suck Valley Trail trying to get to the stone, but if you really want to see it and you are losing hope in finding it, it can be done!
