We stayed here twice in the past few years and have always loved it. Excellent restaurant, lovely friendly staff and a gorgeous little village.

A real home from home. This is a lovely family run hotel in an excellent location to explore all the beauty that West Cork has to offer. From the moment we arrived we felt immediately at home. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and gave us all the information we needed to plan our first day and night in Baltimore. The walk to the harbour is a lovely stroll and though it was out of season there were still some bars and places to eat in "town". Although for food you can't beat Caseys where we ate for 2 of the 5 nights of our stay. On the subject of food, breakfast is outstanding. Freshly squeezed orange juice, a selection of fresh fruit, yoghurts, celeals, home made brown bread, scones and of course the home cooked breakfast - delicious, it really sets you up for the day. The bedroom was clean and spacious with a lovely view of the sea and the old boat stranded in the shallow water. I also have to mention Ann the owner and her son Dominic. They were so lovely to us and to all the guests, they really couldn't have been nicer. Ann actually taxied us to a nearby restaurant one evening and collected us after at no extra cost. That is real customer service and something we were very appreciative of. There was also music in the bar on the Saturday night and we were treated to a wonderful session with local musician Donagh Long, a genius singer song writer and a lovely man who came to sit with us after the gig and chat about music and life. All in all it was a really lovely relaxing break in beautiful West Cork. We will definitely be back.

This review is in an American perspective. I travel to Ireland a few times a year to visit my Irish girlfriend and she recommended that we check out Baltimore since I have never seen it. I must say it is absolutely beautiful. We decided to stay at Casey's which is a family run hotel, its super obviously the moment you enter. They greet you with the nicest smiles and the warmest welcome. Absolulty nothing was a problem and they would go out your way for anything you needed. We originally only booked for 1 night at their off site cottages which I would rate 5 star. Close walk to town for dinner and drink. We liked it so much we decided to stay an extra night!! This time we decided to stay in Caseys Hotel instead of the Cottage. I must admit the Cottage was nicer. In the Cottage it was off on its own away from people and the noise but when we stayed in Caseys Hotel, we heard footsteps past our room all night and the smell of dinner downstairs.

I will remember this place for the rest of my life because of two things: 1) Waking up to the BEST freshly baked scones and 2) eating the best mussels I've ever had (owner said they were taken fresh out of their own mussel farm)

If you have never experienced Casey's of Baltimore, YOU MUST MUST MUST get away for a quiet weekend here. Also while you are here take a hike up to the Beacon! So beautiful!

Room Tip: The Hotel was a tad noisy so If your looking for more quiet time I would choose to stay in one of th...

Arrived early evening on a very wet holiday long weekend and although hotel was full was helpfully offered well-priced accommodation at hotel-owned townhouse in the town with option of meals/breakfast back at hotel. Townhouse was very comfortable with large bedroom and sitting room with TVs, wi-fi access, fridge, tea making. With the rain set in the sightseeing opportunities were limited so settled in the understandably popular Jacobs Bar on seafront for an excellent fresh seafod meal and Irish music. Was notable that most of the customers were Irish famililies and friends away for the weekend. Great breakfast and views from hotel next morning but with rain continuing and little prospect of clearing for boat trips etc. decided to move on. Will definitely return.

Room Tip: Townhouses are in town within walking district of sights, bars and eating while hotel is a little ou...

Just returned from a wonderful three night stay in Casey’s Hotel, Baltimore. I travelled with a colleague and appreciated the fact that a single supplement was not charged. All too often in Ireland ‘single rooms’ are inferior but here I would describe them as luxurious, particularly as they had stunning sea views.
An excellent menu was on offer in their seafood restaurant, however we elected to dine in the atmospheric bar each evening beside an open fire. A perfect place to unwind after hiking on Sherkin & Cape Clear Islands.

Breakfast (which is cooked to order), was superb and we were surprised to find fresh orange juice each morning – a nice touch.

The staff in Casey’s are genuinely friendly and attentive without being intrusive.

Overall there is a lovely ambience in this hotel which envelopes you the minute you check in.

Room Tip: Ask for room with sea view but all rooms tasefully decorated

First impressions of the exterior of the hotel and restaurant are very positive. Excellent views. We thought the bar / restaurant a little cramped and dark on a February day. The toilets are definitely below standard. The seafood was excellent and the choice was beyond our expectations. Friendly staff and good service. Meal went outside our expected budget and although we considered the overall experience very good - the food prices were expensive. We did not stay there but formed the view that this hotel would struggle for a third star.
