There is free parking at the back of the hotel, but it is limited. The hotel is in a very central situation and restaurants etc. are within walking distance. The reception area in the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. It is dark and dismal, and is a small counter in the corner whose environs were very dirty, stained carpet etc. It was the same story as we climbed the stairs to our room. There were bad bleach stains on the landing of the first floor, and carpets down along the corridor were dirty and stained. Walls and doors were chipped, and some paint was bubbling in parts, which was probably due to damp. This hotel is dirty and neglected, our room was small and poky, furniture was chipped and tatty, and there was a big crack in the wash hand basin. The toilet roll holder was broken, and a big roll of toilet paper was taken out of it and just left on the cistern. The sliding bolt on the bathroom door was hanging off, as was the overhead door closer in the bedroom - if you pulled it, it would fall down. The TV was like a postage stamp on the wall and TV reception was dreadful. There were also stains on the carpet on the floor. There was no hotel information booklet, no drawers, no phone, the bulb was broken on one of the bedside wall lights, and the curtains were filthy. We were given a 'pass' on check- in for the 'late bar'. We wouldn't have been making use of a late bar anyway, but it turned out that the late bar was a disco that started at 10 p.m. or thereabouts and continued until sometime after 3 a.m. The pounding noise was unbelievable and kept us awake until the small hours. Had they mentioned the disco when we checked in, we would have checked out and gone elsewhere. Breakfast was another matter - very poor choice of only three cereals, no fresh fruit, and hot breakfasts are cooked to order. The cooked breakfast was totally unremarkable. The counter top where the juice tumblers were kept was sticky and tacky, as was the table we sat down at. Despite the internet claiming newspapers are part of the service, we didn’t see any papers. We were glad to check out of this hotel, it is obvious that the revenue from alcohol sales from their weekend discos is their only interest. They certainly don’t give any thought to the guests who stay there. This hotel is an absolute disaster and we wouldn’t recommend anybody to book here. We booked through Booking.com and they have a lot to answer for too. How they can consider selling rooms in this place is just beyond us. Avoid at all costs. Looking back, it’s no wonder we were able to get a room so easily on a Saturday night in July! It's a pity there isn't a review category which is worse than 'Terrible'. We think that giving it a Terrible rating is being too generous

Room Tip: Best advice? Don't stay here at all - go elsewhere. TO BE AVOIDED!!

Wouldn’t even call this a Hotel first of all. It is absolutely disgusting. The hallway looked like it wasn’t hoovered in months, dirty stains everywhere along with dust. Bedroom wasn’t hoovered also. Dust is thick everywhere in the building. Breakfast is shocking also.. selection is very poor. Cheap coffee, had to go elsewhere for a cup of coffee after having breakfast.

The only positive was that there was running hot water.

I would never recommend this place. The condition it is in I’m surprised it hasn’t been shut down.

Photos on the website are false advertising as it looks absolutely nothing like what you are greeted with.

It's about two years since my last visit here. Nothing much has changed...well, the bar floor has been painted, the ripped upholstery has been repaired, but little improvement in the overall impression. Customers eating food brought from outside the premises. Instant coffee. The sweet aroma of stale beer is always a good sign of a bar badly managed. The toilets are an absolute disgrace!!! Laughably so...does anyone actually own this place? The pleasant barman was the sole plus point in this sorry operation, and even he wasn't well trained.

Room Tip: A tip? Stay/eat/drink somewhere else....anywhere else.

Where do you start? Everything about this hotel is a disgrace. We should have insisted on a refund.
Rooms - dreadful
decor - dreadful
bathroom - dreadful
Breakfast - edible
Noise - dreadful. There is really nothing more to add.

Room Tip: Well away from the night club. Other end of town might be a good idea.

I stayed in this hotel on my way through Clonmel, I found the area very friendly and there is plenty to do in this picturesque town. The River Walk way is great for all avid hikers and travellers. The hotel rooms are not bad for the price paid. The staff were very helpful and courteous. I think if you are staying in Clonmel and have a budget then this place is perfect. If you are looking luxury and quiet I would avoid this hotel at the weekend due to the nightclub being attached to the hotel. If your on a stag or hen, then this place is perfectly fine.

Room Tip: A room where the noise from the nightclub is a good choice if you are a light sleeper
