“Very comfortable well appointed.”
Reviewed October 8, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We were very privileged to be among the first users of this delightful home. Spacious and cosy it had all the comforts for home from home and is very well equipped. Having a parent in a wheelchair the ground floor bedroom with ensuite wet room was welcome. The owners were great at responding really quickly with some extras to help mobility in the bathroom and were friendly and helpful. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the view across the back and afield of cows towards the castle was a wonderful way to start the day. The location was good for access to shops and local life. Being so close to the castle there is a constant flow of tourists but this was no bother. There is however only paid parking outside the house. Paid car park for the castle is available and this was free on a number of days when the barrier was lifted. There is an open fire in the lounge that would be really cosy in colder months. One teeny criticism is TV - it is very small and on a shelf in the corner so hard for everyone to watch. Not a big issue unless everyone wants to watch at the same time. All in all very highly recommended for comfort, standards and amenities.

Management Response

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay in Castle Ivy Lodge. It was our pleasure to have you in our holiday hone. Thank you for the lovely pictures of the Rock of Cashel and Cahir Castle which you put into frames for us. A lovely gesture.

Our TV is a 32inch screen. We will look at upgrading this for the next season. We choose this TV because we wanted to have a DVD player which the current TV has integrated.

Thanks for your review and for your business. We hope to welcome you again .
