I should’ve listened to the reviews on this page. It was loud!!! As mentioned below the older lady at the front desk was mean and rude. There was a teen dance party right next door. It was sooo loud. Don’t stay not worth it. The town is nice and close to castle but trust me; not worth it.

Cahir House is a relatively large hotel which obviously specialises in functions and conferences etc. Professional and welcoming staff. Good size room. Breakfast was fine.
We would definately stay again.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor but maybe higher up would be quiter if there was a function going on

The exterior of the historical building is very appealing as well as the bar and the breakfast area. Rooms are very dated. Furniture and linens could stand to be updated. No top sheet, just the duvet cover. Watched the maids throw the duvets on the floor and continue to make beds. Room was not clean, dirty floors and dust on the closet shelving as well as no blow dryer.

Stayed for two nights. Excellent location with great parking. As with all of Ireland, you need a car but Cahir is excellently located.
Service was great. Staff were so helpful. Will be back again in the future.
Accommodated me with my dietary needs as much as they could.

Front desk staff was very nice and extremely helpful. Dog-friendly despite last minute booking, good location near nice restaurants and historic as near the castle and previously owned by the same family! We had dinner at the hotel as it was the only place in Cahir that would allow our dog and the staff here too was very nice to her. Room was a good size and the beds comfortable, the shower was a bit small though.
