We were fortunate to visit this time of year after a period of unseasonable rainfall. The photos on the wall at the visitors center depicted much less water over the falls.

This is not a bad visit. It is nicer given the relatively rural location. It may not be a destination, but if you are passing by you should stop. The visitors center is well done with an attentive staff. There are views along the parking lot, and to the right of the center. But the best views of the gorge will be from the end of the walkway to the left of the visitors center - it is a short relatively level walk to the observation point.

It's probably even cooler in winter but we were very impressed. Especially the close proximity to the city makes it kind of unique and it is definitely worth a visit. No need to stay for a week, but a nice hike for a day.

Grand falls is a little village with nice off beat walks but nothing much else except campaign areas.

The Falls and Gorge are a breathtaking wonder of nature. The walking trail is absolutely beautiful from one side of the bridge to the other visitors centre and then down into the camping area. The stairs can be a killer but so worth it! Picturesque!

We stopped by on our way passing through on the highway. The falls are pretty impressive, especially during spring run-off as when we were there. Maybe not the most spectacular in Canada, but definitely worth the short detour. It takes about ten minutes off of the highway in total travel time.
