“Perfect for a week in County Cork for our party of 8 golfers”
Reviewed July 5, 2018 for a stay in June 2018

Located up a rather rough private driveway and looking out on the beautiful ruins of Castle Bernard. The kitchen is extremely well stocked not only with equipment but also with store cupboard essentials - and the owners left us a plentiful supply of eggs, milk, coffee, tea, cereals etc etc. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, and three of the four are exceptionally good. We all had a really lovely time here, were very warmly welcomed when we arrived, and would strongly recommend it for a group holiday.

“Quiet and a pleasant stay”
Reviewed May 21, 2018 for a stay in May 2018

About 30 minutes from Cork Airport, just outside of the town of Bandon, Earl's Bungalow is recommended for family or a large group. The bedrooms and living area are very spacious. It is rare to have the view of a castle outside from your bedroom window. The grounds are worth walking around to get some exercise.
If you are a golfer, you are in luck as Bandon Golfcourse is located on the same grounds within walking distance.

“Truly Magnificent”

The Earls Bungalow was THE place to stay in Ireland. The house is huge with an updated kitchen, beautiful big bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms... It's everything you could want in a vacation home plus it's own castle - Castle Bernard - ON THE GROUNDS! 200 acres, a pond, complete privacy, it has it all. And perhaps one of the best parts is Clare who takes care of the property. Clare goes out of her way to not only help providing extras (in our case a fan & some light blankets as it was unusually warm), but Clare also met our family at the nearby historic church to give a "tour". She's a lovely person.

This was our entire family's crown jewel of the trip.

“Beautiful Home in an Amazing Setting”

Our family of 6 (3 couples) found this home to be immaculate and well appointed with high end fixtures, furnishings and linens. Each bedroom has it's own en suite large bathroom. Everything we needed was in the home and friendly family members were also on the estate if we had any questions or needs. The view of the castle ruins is breathtaking from most windows. We were always awestruck that we were actually staying on such beautiful grounds with a very interesting family history, going back 100's of years. We enjoyed wine and cheese while playing games and visiting, on the back deck area overlooking the ruins and landscaped lawn. Guests are invited to walk the estate land which was also beautiful and vast. Bandon has lots of shopping and pubs, close to this home. Bandon is also a good spot on the map for day trips to most of Cork County. We hope to return some day to The Earl's Bungalow!

We had a fantastic stay at The Earl's Bungalow. The property is beautifully furnished, in wonderful grounds with fabulous views of the ruined castle. It is also a great location for exploring Cork and Kerry. We'd love to stay here again.
