“Perfect peaceful retreat”
Reviewed September 29, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

I stayed here with my bridesmaid the night before our wedding and then for 2 nights after with my husband. The cottage was perfect, ample space for the 4 of us to sleep (2 in a double bed, one on the sofa bed and one on a pull out bed in the bedroom). The kitchen was well equipped for a short stay. Julia was very friendly and had lots of recommendations and was very knowledgeable about the local area. It was lovely to have some food in the fridge when we arrived too. There were some lovely walks around the cottage which we enjoyed and it was nice to enjoy the garden in the sunshine! Would definitely recommend if you're looking to escape to somewhere peaceful for a few days.

“Perfect holiday cottage”
Reviewed September 4, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Booked this cottage as it was advertised as dog friendly, for a few days away with our two shih tzu . When we arrived we was greeted by Julia ,who was warm and friendly and showed us round the cottage. The cottage was so much better than we imagined, lovely size bedroom and living room and the kitchen was small and compact but had everything you needed to cook a meal. Julia had left us a welcome pack, milk (Julia even remembered I needed skimmed)orange juice, chilled bottle of wine, and even some snacks.
The garden was perfect and a very good size, enclosed and secure which catches the sun all day long. It was perfect for our dogs Stamford and Bridget who had plenty of room to chase each other . Added bonus of a short drive to a lovely sandy beach. We will definitely be returning there in the near future .

“Delightful Cottage in a magical location, highly recommend”
Reviewed September 1, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We enjoyed our two night stay at this property very much, and if we had known better our plans for the week we would have stayed for the whole week. We had privacy and peace to unwind after a long trip and cruise beforehand.

“Great location, quiet lane close to Crab & Lobster”
Reviewed September 1, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Stayed here for a weekend. Accommodation is perfectly good, not 5 star, but then the price is very good value. Julia is lovely and great to have a 'starter pack' of tea, coffee, milk and a bottle of chilled white wine for arrival. The bedroom and living room/kitchen are slightly bigger than the photo's show and the private garden is a very good size.
Could do with a slightly larger sofa or an extra chair, but that is being picky, all comfortable. Wi-fi and TV reception slightly erratic but again not an issue, it just dipped in and out a little. This is the price one pays for the lovely countryside location.

“Wonderful find!”
Reviewed August 31, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Found on Facebook advertising as dog friendly accommodation. We loved the stable accommodation located on a lovely peaceful road. Julia gave us some excellent advice on places to eat The Crab & Lobster 5 mins walk away booking in advance a necessity! We also visited the Crown & Anchor in Dell Quay both served fantastic food & the staff were very friendly. There were lovely walks around the area particularly around Pagham harbour. Thank you to Julia for making the extra effort to making our stay so enjoyable. We hope to visit again soon.

“Great accommodation for a short break”
Reviewed August 30, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We stayed here in mid August for 3 nights attracted by the flexibility of the dates on offer and also the property was dog friendly. We needed to be in Chichester but this was very convenient.

The property is very attractive and very well appointed for its size and we appreciated the welcome pack. Although there were 3 of us there was ample room. The enclosed garden was great and it was lovely to sit out when sunny. Some lovely walks around Church Norton.

The TV reception was a bit intermittent but we didn't use it much anyway.

“Great weekend break!”

We stayed here while we in Sidlesham for a wedding. Rather than heading down for just a night, we decided to stay for the weekend and this place was just perfect. Julia is a great host and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation is very comfortable and the little touches on arrival are just what you need after a Friday afternoon drive, especially the white wine that was chilling in the fridge! The garden is lovely - we had sun for breakfast and for dinner.

The local area is stunning - if you like to run or walk, there are plenty of public footpaths that take you through some beautiful Sussex countryside. We plan to go back again so that we can explore more of the local area and just relax in an amazing setting. We can highly recommend The Stable!
