We booked our family party of 5 to stay at the B&B attached to this restaurant, and arrived tired, stressed and irritable. Carol could fit in my husband and I for a last minute dinner reservation... we sent the young adult children elsewhere.

Well the dinner was nothing short of superb. The baked monkfish was the best seafood dish that I have ever eaten. My husband ordered the lamb, and loved his dish, but after tasting my fish, we returned tonight (with the progeny this time) and almost all of us ordered the monkfish.

The food here at this restaurant is extraordinary. Everything was wonderful.... the service, the breads, the wines, the food. Tonight on our second visit, the young foodie adults were raving about the food. Even I took a photo of my dessert.... and I have never taken a photo of food before. It was just beautiful, and we are very aware of the enormous privilege of being served such fare in such an amazing area of natural beauty, and history.... including of a history of tragic deprivation.
Many many thanks for an incredibly memorable 2 nights of dining. We are so grateful. Carol is a gentle and gracious hostess.

Visited with my family. The restaurant is decor is beautiful and with windows all the way around giving you a spectacular view of the river and surrounding countryside. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We all had 3 courses and the food was delicious. Each plate is decorated beautifully and you can see that the chef takes immense pride in the food. All of the food is very fresh. We where given a selection of bread and appetizers to start which was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend visiting you will not be disappointed. The pricing is more than reasonable for the quality and they have a lovely selection of wine. Overall we really enjoyed eating here.

This is a treasured Petunia amidst the onion patch of over hyped and over crowded Pubs that get all of the attention in Doolin. The hospitality and service was unbelievably good as was each of our entries. To begin with, the place closes at 9 PM. We wandered in a bit scruffy from umpteen hours of travel at 9:32 PM and meekly asked if they could accommodate us. The red carpet was rolled out and things only got better from there. From the Bread to the Dessert, everything was a noteworthy culinary offering. When in Doolin, don't miss this great dining experience.
