Cullinan's Guesthouse

We've been staying and eating at Cullinan's for the past 10 years, and have never been disappointed. It's the perfect cross between an elegant B&B and a small, friendly hotel. The rooms are spotless, well appointed, and comfortable. The dining room is bright, airy, beautiful, (with a nice view) and the food is delicious. Dinners are gourmet and a little pricey, but very good. (They also offer an Early Bird set menu, which is less expensive). I had the baked hake with an asparagus and mussel garnish and a dusted herb topping (23 euros). It came with creamy, garlicky potatoes and carrots with a spicy curry flavor. Breakfast is an elegant and pleasant affair, with many choices not usually seen on B&B menus, like fish, vanilla pancakes, and cheddar cheese omelet with "overnight baked tomatoes." (Try it, it's delicious!) The brown bread is the best I've had anywhere. The location of Cullinan's is also very good. It is right across the street from the new(ish) Doolin Hotel with its pub (Fitzpatrick's) and shops. A five minute walk down the road there are two more pubs, McGann's and McDermott's for traditional music, so once you settle in at Cullinan's, you don't have to drive anywhere else if you don't want to. Highly recommended.

My wife and I just returned to Canada from a seventeen day holiday in Ireland. One of the highlights of our holiday was staying in Doolin at Cullinan's Guesthouse. I cannot imagine a nicer place to stay. The location was perfect and easy to find, right in the center of Doolin on the main road. We loved our room; it was spacious, clean, and had lots of windows to see the countryside and the small stream that runs by the hotel. The breakfasts were superb and our dinner was the best we had in Ireland. Carol and her staff also ensured we had gluten free menu options available. To top it all off, the hospitality was excellent. Carol and her son were very friendly and looked after all our needs. They made us feel right at home, so much so we didn't want to leave. Thank you so much Carol for making our stay so enjoyable. We hope to come and see you again one day.

We spent three nights in Cullinan's and found it to be the best of the five B&B's (which were also very good) we visited during our 12-day-tour of Mayo and Clare in May. Lovely location with very pleasant views from the restaurant and our room. The room and the bathroom were very comfortable, spacious and clean.Fantastic breakfast in the morning and an even more delicious was the dinner at night. So full marks for Cullinans and we will certainly be back !

This place is fantastic. It used to be one of the only places in dingle to stay, which has built up significantly since we were here 2 years ago. We planned our second trip to ireland around the availability of this B&B. It has a restaurant that is 5 star quality as a bonus.

What a brilliant breakfast! Of the standard of a Blue Book hotel.
Carol is most welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.
Clean and quiet (I was worried that with such a popular restaurant that it could be noisy but this was not an issue at all).
Great Wi-Fi.
Short pleasant walk to the pubs, shops and cafes.

This is a real hidden gem,the most wonderful hosts and amazing food.
The restaurant is superb and a fantastic atmosphere.
You really must make an effort on your trip around Ireland to visit Doolin and stay at Cullinans B&B - visit Fitzpatricks the music is unbelievable and totally spontaneous we heard Christie Moores brother play there and a group of young travelling musicians joined him it was a real treat.
Can't wait to come back

Our visit to Cullinan's was delightful. We chose it on a recommendation from a friend. We stayed on a Sunday night and had dinner across the street at Firzpatrick's -- which was also great. Our room was perfect for our 4-person family. The bath was spacious. We had a separate glass door to go outside on a patio as well. Our room door inside opened into a lovely parlor. Breakfast was terrific! We all were able to enjoy our favorite breakfast foods. We managed to meet several members of the Cullinan's family who were all lovely and hospitable. Definitely a wonderful experience.
