Situated in the village. Good location. Walkable to everything.
Plenty of parking.
Nice sized room/bath. Beds pretty comfortable.
Plain but efficient. There's a nice guest lounge on premises.
Breakfast provided. We found the French toast and pancakes very odd. Deep fried? Greasy.
Try other options.
Owners very responsive and personable as is the other staff.

Dear MallenaU,
Thank you for your review of our Lodge.
I have passed on your comments to our housekeeping staff and I also mentioned to William what you thought of his pancakes and French toast. I guess everyone has different ways of cooking, I do my french toast differently to him but neither of us deep fry french toast or pancakes....I can't imagine how you could even do that?! I'm sorry it was not to your liking, they are usually well received.
Thank you again for staying with us and we hope to see you again some day.
Kind Regards,
Deirdre and Niall O'Dwyer

Stopped here after a drive from Kenmare and a stop at the Cliffs of Mohr. VERY spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and thoughtful amenities made this hotel a true delight! The sleep was deep, and the breakfast was delicious! Owned by a lovely couple with very friendly staff. If you're stopping in Doolin, go DIRECTLY to the Lodge! You will not be sorry!!!

I was given a massive suite of rooms which was a bit more accommodation than I actually needed. However the space was comfortable enough and I enjoyed the breakfast. The place was convenient for wandering around Doolin which is a very spread out community.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms offer lovely views of the hillsides or the sea.

This was a nice hotel to stay at for a night if you're planning on seeing the Cliffs of Moher. Within walking distance of town (small town only one main street). About a 10-15 minute drive to the Cliffs of Moher depending on if you take the main roads or are brave enough to take the side road (very windy and barely wide enough for one small car). Our shower had a hard time draining which was the only negative. 5 minutes into your shower you were standing in 4" of water. Breakfast is free to hotel guests and is very nice.

Dear Adam F,
Thank you for taking the time to review The Lodge, I'm glad everything was to your liking.
Our apologies about the shower drain, we clear them regularly, however, in peak season, they can become clogged more frequently. It would have been good if you had mentioned this during your stay as it is something that could have been rectified instantly.
I hope the rest of your Irish adventure went well and you mastered the driving!
Kind Regards,
Deirdre and Niall O'Dwyer

We were travelling up from Killarney and wanted to visit Doolin again. We were recommended The Lodge by another B&B. We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment which was very clean and comfortable. It had underfloor heating in bathrooms which was lovely in the morning!
Breakfast was served by lovely friendly staff and was delicious
Would definitely return to The Lodge
Thankyou

A few minutes walk to the Lower Village, 10 minutes to Upper Village. Walk to the Cliffs of Moher along the breathtaking 8 km path along the cliffs.
Clean, quiet. Friendly and efficient staff. Good breakfast. Problem with the water flow into the toilet was fixed quickly- laundry service was handy

Room Tip: Corner room had great view of doolin and coast

Dear Leslie919,
Thank you for your kind review, I must also thank you for letting us know about the valve that became loose in the toilet cistern while you were here, all too often people say nothing and complain afterwards. It is so easy to fix things once we are told !
We hope to see you again someday.
